Just what it says - a dealer can't send a new vehicle over and get the supercharger installed and sell it as a new Shelby GT 350; you have to buy your own Mustang, then send it over to have the supercharger installed (post-title.)
This is two years later, but I just test drove a brand new GT Premium at a local dealer.
With the exhaust in "Sport," hitting the gas at about 2K RPM instantly caused a good proportion of the interior trim to rattle and make noise from sympathetic vibrations.

Your dealer should have provided your email address to Ford.
Once they email you you can login to the Ford site on your own and see any updates.

My...
Yes, there's no VIN yet, that's the point, just a projected build date.
They're thinking maybe a VIN will be assigned tomorrow as Ford apparently processes orders on Thursdays, or so I've been told.
They did, but only by my salesman showing me an email they got about it; it says it's scheduled but no VIN is mentioned there or in their system, just the fact the order was transmitted.
So should my dealer have given Ford my information when they placed my order?
I have a potential build date and order number (and order printout) but no VIN, and there's nowhere on the order printout where they could have specified my contact info.
