gotcha. thats great information.
I dont have any complaints with the stock wheel/tire widths of the non hp darkhorse necessarily....And i know its an unpopular opinion but i like the stock look of the tire/wheel/fender ratios and spacing. I would never consider doing 20 inch wheels nor...
thats great feedback. Thank you for sharing. Sounds like youre doing exactly what i do. Im up in CT. Salt comes out and it stays parked until the rain washes it away… but otherwise daily driving it.
Do you ever experience the ‘tramlining’ around town that i always hear people complaining about...
really. Thats interesting. I wonder how an oem satin black finish compares with a glossy powder black in appearance….
I also wonder what the durability difference between a shops powder coat job is vs an oem paint for a daily driver……
i was quoted just about 800$ for a glossy black powder...
Thanks for posting your pics 2025DH. This has been high on my to do list as well and after seeing yours i think that seals the deal. Ive been looking at black after market rims but nothing blows me away. Everything looks like it belongs on a honda or tricked out bmw. Stock wheels are fine.
youll do great GregB. Keep us updated.
I feel the same way and thats why i hesitate to consider an mgw shifter. my experience with manual transmissions is limited to some 60s sports cars, a 90s chevy S10, an 80s 4runner and my wifes 21 GT mt82 as well as a handful of international cheap...
GregB - you should triple check that you purchased the right MGW shift kit to match the transmission in your car.
Definitely update us on the driving/shifting experience when you get everything installed Id love to hear your thoughts
Or if anyone else has installed the MGW kit in their gt350...
can i ask you more about your experience between the stock tremec and the MGW upgrade GregB. I feel like the stock transmission/shifting experience is very good in the darkhorse. especially when i compare it with my wifes 21 gts mt82. How does MGWs device elevate the shifting/driving...
Thanks to everyone who replied. thank you for all of the pics. lots of options out there. (to many really, good grief). gotta narrow things down for a black friday purchase now!
That looks really sharp. very clean. doesnt look overly exotic. thank you for sharing. looks like youve still got pretty decent clearance even with it installing under what im assuming is the stock splitter. thats the same looking splitter ive got under the non hp darkhorse.
Anyone out there installed the ford oem HP splitter for their non hp darkhorse and have stories or pics to share?
600-700$ or whatever it is seems a bit much for a bunch of plastic…..
Really. you didnt have to take off the stock front splitter to apply this? by looking at the pictures on amazon and your pic i assumed the GT either didnt come with a splitter or it was removed to apply this one.
I was really hoping someone had purchased this and would share pics! I absolutely have my eyes on this one. It doesnt mention anything about darkhorse fitment but the price is right - id almost be willing to take the risk and see if i can get it up there successfully.
.....theres another one...
beautiful! thank you for sharing. Good comparison of the rod vs no rod here. the rods definitely look more aggressive.
no installation woes? I read the write up on these and if im not mistaken it does NOT involve drilling any holes unless youre installing the rods.
Also - did you get the...
I do like the clean simple look.
Tape and glue only eh. sounds to good to be true.

the product page states for GTs only. hmmm.... is the splitter on the GTs and the non HP...
really nice sofaking. Thats definitely a contender. very sleek. I read your install thread. very helpful. i bet theyve made some tweaks to it over the last year to improve the fit. thank you for posting!
lol i noticed that. On their website it specifically states that no installation instructions are included. It also makes no mention of hardware. bad sign #2 and #3 haha.
