  1. What is with all the recalls?

Are there companies you know of that are not claiming to care about quality?
  2. Dark horse suspension question

Maybe when your wife gets in.
  3. I said I wouldn’t do it but I did!

There's a reason during the assembly process but it's weak on Ford's part to not close them after the usage is complete. There is plenty of chatter on the forum if you are interested, but at this time it seems unlikely Ford will change. I am planning to take care of mine this weekend but...
  4. Challenger or S650

Thanks, I never heard you mention any of that before...now where's that eyeroll emoji?
  5. Recall 24S36 - Leaking Hydraulic Clutch Pressure Line

    Well, it's a clutch problem and it's a hydraulic clutch...so yeah.
  6. Recall 24S36 - Leaking Hydraulic Clutch Pressure Line

I was about to post the same "speculation ".
  7. Active Dampening System necessary?

I've had it in one form or another on 3 vehicles from 3 different companies. The ability to select different modes for different situations, road conditions and how aggressive I'm driving is very worth it to me. The question I've never seen answered is what Magneride ride setting most...
  8. how to squeegee the windshield without scratching it...

I'd brush my teeth with a toothbrush found on the floor of a Citco bathroom before I'd use the community squeegee out by the pumps.
  9. Could somebody please straighten me out on the 486 hp thing?

Because track setting is technically not street legal, they quote the 480...I assume.
  10. CG for A10 base GT to position escape door in car hauler

The other things people do...with varying results are: 1) build or place Ramos inside the trailer to elevate the car to where the drivers door clears the trailer wheel tubs 2) my suggestion and I suspect the most often used solution...add a winch and pull the car in.
  11. CG for A10 base GT to position escape door in car hauler

I was suggesting that having the trailer door right next to the car door is unlikely since the car door will be somewhere right about where the trailer wheel wells/tubs are. The guy that transported my BMW to it's new owner climbed out the window NASCAR style. I believe it was an 8.5 wide...
  12. Soft top lint brush

Every convertible owner needs to spend $7 on one of these. When I bought my 2013 Convertible used, the previous owner left one under the passenger seat. Especially with all the cottonwood trees and dust flying around here, it's perfect to de-lint the top. Just gently brush in the direction...
  13. Recall 24S36 - Leaking Hydraulic Clutch Pressure Line

I was under my GT M6 just last night to install the air defectors (strakes) that were missing at delivery. While I was under there I noticed a metal retaining clip that was obviously supposed to be pushed onto a threaded stud that was right there. I just pushed it on and didn't really even...
  14. Let’s go topless! Post your top down convertible pics

I would have never in a million years picked that interior...but it actually works really well with the yellow.
  15. CG for A10 base GT to position escape door in car hauler

Unfortunately, in most cases the door wants to be about where the front trailer wheels are.
  16. CG for A10 base GT to position escape door in car hauler

F/R weight distribution is right around 55/45 and wheelbase is 107 inches, so about 48 inches behind the center of the front wheels. I suspect that's about where the windshield meets the roof.
  17. Missing Underbody Strakes?

I have no idea why you are telling me these things.
  18. Missing Underbody Strakes?

Off the ground, but the fins are a soft flexible material. I think with them so close to the front axle they are not likely to be damaged very easily.
  19. Missing Underbody Strakes?

2 3/4 inches or so. They are free with the $4000 GT Performance Package.
