  1. DIY Whipple install discussion, advice, tips, and lessons learned

Yes. I had to pull the battery, remove the battery compartment partition and k brace. It’s a little tight but I was able to do everything from the passenger side. There’s no room on the driver side. You have to use an inspection mirror with lights built in to watch the sight glass and an...

I got the replacement gage glass this morning, swapped it out with the old one and topped off the oil. The old gage glass gasket was chewed up pretty bad. Overall, I lost just over 2oz. of oil. An inspection mirror with lights and a syringe style extraction pump is a must to change the oil on...
  3. VMP BAP Fuel Pump Voltage Booster Question

I’m just going to let it eat. I brought up the tuning because there’s a warning sticker on the saying that tuning is required to prevent damage to the fuel pump, but there are only calibration recommendations for 1999-2017 models in the instructions. Nothing for 2018+. It appears the fuse...
  4. VMP BAP Fuel Pump Voltage Booster Question

I recently installed the VMP stage 2 Whipple S/C. The kit came with a fuel pump voltage booster. I went ahead and installed it. I didn’t install the 40A fuse because the fuel pump fuse for the S650 is already 40A. After I installed it I noticed a weird ratcheting sound when I unlock and open my...
  5. DIY Whipple install discussion, advice, tips, and lessons learned

Sorry for the long post. Just want to put this out there as a heads up for anyone planning on performing the install themselves. TLDR; If you plan on doing the installation yourself, on step 93 of the procedure perform an inspection on the oil level sight glass. Verify no o-ring protrusion...

Thank you. I appreciate it. It was fun for the 30 minutes I got to drive it. lol
  7. DIY Whipple install discussion, advice, tips, and lessons learned

Well unfortunately it wasn't coolant....it was supercharger oil. I traced it back to the sight glass on the back of the head unit. They must've not installed an o-ring or something. Anyways, I've contacted Whipple. We'll see what they say.
  8. DIY Whipple install discussion, advice, tips, and lessons learned

Anyone deal with any coolant leaks following the installation? I finished up the install yesterday, took it for a drive, and topped off all the fluids. Everything looked good. I took a look underneath the car this morning and noticed a decent coolant spot on the driveway beneath the...
  9. DIY Whipple install discussion, advice, tips, and lessons learned

Man, I hate bolt 10. Should finish up this evening or tomorrow. I accidentally hit the bypass actuator with my hand when I put the lid on. Hoping I didn't damage the diaphragm. ETA: I did end up pulling the bottom portion of the blower off to reinstall the foam blocks. While it was out I went...
  10. DIY Whipple install discussion, advice, tips, and lessons learned

Did anyone leave the foam blocks that were under the stock manifold in place when they installed their blower? The instructions don’t say to remove them but have pictures of the valley without the blocks in later steps. I’m in the middle of installing the VMP flavor Whipple and I decided to...
  11. Uneven Ride Height After Ford Performance Track Spring Install

Thank you. I appreciate it. I’ll give that a shot.
  12. Uneven Ride Height After Ford Performance Track Spring Install

Against my better judgment, I had the dealership install ford performance track springs. I had to bring it to them twice. The first time I got the car back I noticed grease spun in the driver side wheel, found a tear in the CV boot and the driver side toe linkage knuckle bolt wasn't tightened at...
