  1. S650 mule spotted..........with all wheel drive?

They seem to be running behind prototyping schedule due to covid-19 and probably still 21-24 months away from launch. This might be a late fall/winter 2022-23 launch. My question is, will Ford be ready run the S650 prototypes out the gate as soon as they are first hand-assembled (like S550 in...
  2. “Next Gen” Mustang Will be Electric (EV) Only Claims Autoline

Yeah, that was my perspective. As usual, dumb news media not thinking through what they're reporting and contradicting themselves. If not for IRS and 50th anniversary, the 2015 S550 would have been described the same way as S650 sounds. 2005-2028 all share something with each other, just as...
  3. “Next Gen” Mustang Will be Electric (EV) Only Claims Autoline

EVs being mandated makes sense for commuter vehicles and public transport like cabs/Ubers/Lyft/etc. I can understand BEVs for certain enthusiasts niches (hypercars), but not so much for the class of vehicle Mustangs are. I don't hate the Mach E and feel the over the top hatred for it is...
  4. “Next Gen” Mustang Will be Electric (EV) Only Claims Autoline

I was too tired to delete the rest of your quoted post, but I definitely had to point out the rumor you were referring to about "7 years", was complete BS to me at least. I think that should be very obvious to you though or do I need to put it in bold, that I wasn't interested in the rest (which...
  5. “Next Gen” Mustang Will be Electric (EV) Only Claims Autoline

Yeah, it's unfortunate LOL it won't be all new. I just feel like it's deja vu with the S650 and 1994 Mustang. Supposed to be an all-new car, but gets reused for billionth time, because Ford only will commit to BEV Mustang coupe and not an all-new ICE car. Speaking of the Mazda story, I forgot I...
  6. “Next Gen” Mustang Will be Electric (EV) Only Claims Autoline

Mach E is not on C2, but GE1 (which is heavily modified from C2 to be RWD). Where did you hear any mention of D3 components? The D3 is dead as March 2019.
  7. “Next Gen” Mustang Will be Electric (EV) Only Claims Autoline

I don't know what's wrong with XenForo.😒 Always having log in issues. Anyway...this information is mixed up with some BS. Launch timeline is correct for the 8th generation car, but 7th generation does exist and clearly some people struggle in the media to figure it out. I had said for a very...
  8. Mustang S650 Design Previewed by ‘Progressive Energy In Strength’ Sculpture

Front what I know and the other renderings out there, this surprisingly wasn't a bad guess. I didn't acknowledge it, until some months passed and I encountered something tangible.
  9. Mustang S650 Design Previewed by ‘Progressive Energy In Strength’ Sculpture

In fact, back in August 2011, Ford showed the Evos, which had been designed to tease the CD391 (Fusion & Mondeo) due in fall of 2012. However, looks like the Evos also teased the S550 design process. Ford settled on a final S550 design in January 2012 and cleaned that up by summer 2012, fully...
  10. Mustang S650 Design Previewed by ‘Progressive Energy In Strength’ Sculpture

Well, this old rendering makes plenty of sense now. It's derived from informed knowledge for sure, as it didn't come out of thin air from the little I know. Bear in mind this sculpture isn't fully representative of the vehicle in question. You simply don't give away all the details at once.
  11. Mustang S650 Design Previewed by ‘Progressive Energy In Strength’ Sculpture

That's very much S650 to a degree. Wasn't expecting this to be shown, let alone in 2020. Should be seeing mules testing soon (behind schedule), followed by what is called Verification Prototype 1.
  12. S650 2023 Mustang Chief Engineer / Program Director is Michael Celetino

I wouldn't call it that exactly. Falcon would only be a good name for a very high-end version or special edition down the road. I have a major bone to pick with the name Warthog, because all I can think of is some ugly animal or Pumbaa from Lion King. I can only wonder which good ol' boy came...
  13. S650 2023 Mustang Chief Engineer / Program Director is Michael Celetino

You are a little bit too on the money, because that's definitely coming and the best way to describe it. I hate the name Warthog and hope it comes as a Raptor. I'm guessing that the Wildtrak is a diet Raptor. Have seen some stuff that says a new Mustang and Bronco performance version come out...
  14. S650 2023 Mustang Chief Engineer / Program Director is Michael Celetino

Certainly, much thanks LOL. I'm always fishing for info. My concerns are his previous responsibilities lying way too much in the front wheel drive segment. This seems to be his first RWD unibody vehicle in a long time. Maybe responsibilities are divided between S650 and S550?
  15. S650 2023 Mustang Chief Engineer / Program Director is Michael Celetino

Looks like some important stuff wrapped up in May 2020 as well, via another S650 engineer. Hopefully that's a good thing.
  16. S650 2023 Mustang Chief Engineer / Program Director is Michael Celetino

Doing some fishing around, I think I found the guy in charge of the whole shebang. Michael Celetino. And judging by the date he started, seems like CD6 Stang was shelved right when Hackett took over in May 2017. Looks like 5 years is being spent on this by him. He previously worked on 2017...
  17. S650 Mustang launches in 2022 as 2023MY reveals Ford Linkedin post

Ford Design has apparently already completed work on the appearance of the next generation Mustang from what I'm hearing and it's due for what they called final data judgment (total sign-off). Any of you insiders heard similar? Makes sense because it took about the same amount of time with...
  18. S650 Mustang launches in 2022 as 2023MY reveals Ford Linkedin post

In terms of model years it's 2021 to 2022. The S550 is not going on beyond 2022. In fact the "next generation" S650 has already been designed from what I hear and it's being locked in this summer. I pretty much helped leak the timeline for the S650, thanks to my cousin at Ford, giving me an...
  19. S650 Mustang launches in 2022 as 2023MY reveals Ford Linkedin post

Yes, that's what I noticed too, but nothing else shows up for it yet outside of these interviews. Just like the 15th generation F-150, which is probably coming out then too. It's really too bad the 8th generation Mustang will be first all-new car in 3 generations, while 7th gen is great, but how...
  20. S650 Mustang launches in 2022 as 2023MY reveals Ford Linkedin post

That's what I thought. Some guys were insistent on S650 losing weight, which I'm convinced *isn't* possible at this point, unless some aluminum components were developed to fit anything on D2C. Glad you've proven the smaller and lighter theory wrong, as that was already hard enough for 2015 and...
