My actual guess is the GT500 is getting bumped to 5.4 and they are doing like they did with the 2003-2004 Mach1 and basically making an NA version of that engine, as everyone had hoped they would do with the Predator for the 2021-23 Mach1. Possible a new GT350/BOSS with a NA 5.4 but they made it...
The GT and Dark Horse look to boi racer to me. Like a MAch1 banged a Civic Type-R. with those vents and the hood. The EcoBoost is actually a handsome looking car. Looking forward to hear about the power specs on the 2.3 and what a Pony Package would look like. Or a potential Hi-Po for it.
Yeah, but I can't buy that. So unless their plan is to in 3-4yrs have a "More darker, darkest, I am Batman Horse" with the 5.4 Its got little impact on myself.
Locked or not it will get hacked if people really want to. For Ford to update it there must be one authorization/encryption key. For Roush to tune it with Ford then there is likely multiple keys that will let you flash a tune. If thats the case someone just has to find where the key is stored...
I find it funny the pull at 80's nostalgia with the dash theme and interior vents, but then pick the name Dark horse and not "Hi-Po" which was around in the 80's but use Hi-Po on the Ecoboost. Ford Marketing is straight retarded.
Should have just called it Mach1. This is really all the Mach1 currently is.
To me calling it GT Hi-Po would put it more inline with the EcoBoost Hi-Po pkg. I can already hear everyone calling it the Dork horse at car meets.
This is the first time I ever thought the base model was the best looking trim. Also, I can already hear EVERYONE calling it a "dork" horse. That name freaking stupid.
OLED burning in really hasn't been an issue for YEARS now. Welcome to 2012. OLED screens will easily last 5/6+yrs which is more than enough for warranties which is all they have to care about. which is more than enough for warranty, past that, why should they care? Most people get a new car in...
