Depending on the spec, $110k+ORC is what they went for new anyway. So, from where I'm sitting, they are doing very well with maybe a 10% drop if people are getting them for a bit over 100k.
My car was +-110k + ORC when new which means it was about 120k drive away, and it's a fully spec 'ed car...
Hey guys, just wanted to share my thoughts on a product I’ve been testing out – Mirch Kraken SiO2 Infused Foaming Wash.
I've been using it for a while now on my wife's car. The paint is completely uncoated, and the car is parked outside in the elements every single day, making it the perfect...
No personal experience with it but Matt from Obsessed Garage put LE on my radar. It may not be the ultimate top-tier choice in a vacuum, but its value-to-performance ratio is hard to beat.
To me it looked like a good alternative to ShineMate if you had objections to buying Chinese.
I'd be...
My Dark Horse was fully covered in PPF, including the roof. MADinc who did mine didn't mention anything like that and had no issues doing mine. I've seen no imperfections on the roof.
You can see my actual car being protected in this video:
I know @5.0ALM showed us how to DIY a front camera, but I also came across this option in Australia.
Havent tried it or done much research, but just thought I'd share in case someone is interested .

Speaking of PPF... I just noticed this new product from OptiCoat.
Opti-Shield Liquid Paint Protection Film – Opti-Coat
I've got questions. I wonder what this stuff will look like on the paint. With a thick layer like that, I'm not sure how you prevent streaks or a wavy finish.
What is a...
Mine went last Thu (12th) for the 12-month service and to get the recall taken care of. They did want to keep it overnight. They told me this before even inspecting the car, so it seemed to me like they are adding the sealant irrespective of whether they find it leaking or not.
I got the car...
I just had another thought. Maybe because it's a RS, that area of the car is made of aluminum, carbon fiber or a plastic composite for weight savings. This might also be why the paint didn't adhere to the surface that well if that is indeed the bare material of the body that's white. Many...
That video is definitely a gut punch for anyone who has invested in protection. It is hard not to feel that "what if" anxiety for your own car when you see a rare finish get damaged like that, but it's important to look at the concepts behind why this happens.
Statistically, paint lifting is an...
I think it's a potential stay overnight if they find leakage and have to perform more work to seal and let the sealant dry. If they find no leakage, it easy to do in a day.
I've not received any physical paperwork yet either. Mine is booked for it's 12 month service on 12Feb. They told me they'll take care of the recall at the same time, but the car will need to stay overnight. At least I'm getting a loan vehicle.
Hey guys, just wanted to share a bit of a horror story (with a good ending, luckily) about what happened with my son's car recently.
He’s with Budget Direct and had a low-speed front-end smash. We first got the car back about two weeks ago, but the repair quality was honestly a disgrace. Here’s...
I just tried NRMA, but it came to $2800 per year. Crazy.
Just ended up renewing with Enthusiast for roughly $1400 per year. This is for an agreed value 130k on the Dark Horse.
