I'm not far behind him but I'm still salty. I wanted a twin turbo Dark Horse and because of that stupid ECU locking crap, I went with the only option I had at the time. 🤬
Then a year later, after hearing countless times it'd never get cracked, they get unlocked.
I'm in Floriduh and I had to drive my ass to the middle of Alabammer (I think it was called Bessemer) to snag my Dark Horse Premium for $69k. I got a used (2000 miles, little old lady owned it) Corolla Cross mailed to me from Panama City Beach for $20k. I know how to find deals but they're never...
Ain't that the truth. I had to search other states to get my Dark Horse under $70k. I'm probably going to buy another C8 soon. Luckily THAT market seems to have self-corrected.
Well, you did buy a Ford. 😜
Build quality for Ford and Chevy has dropped noticeably over the last several years. Seems to primarily revolve around half-assed assembly, not the part quality or engineering (as it used to be decades ago).
I haven't had any issues like that. Though my rev matching for the longest time didn't work consistently. And after modding my car, my harmonic balancer decided to start walking off the job site. Got a new one, now. Seems to be happy.
As a matter of fact, long ago when I was a newly declared adult, I met a girl that had just broke up with her boyfriend... and, you know, hung out at her house overnight, anyway when I woke up someone had egged my car overnight. There was no getting anything off. It ate through the paint.
I've been known to, on occasion, get in front of someone who is pissing everyone off going under the speed limit in the left lane, downshift, and clutch kick rocks at them. Happens more often if someone is tailgating me though.
