The Cayman had to leave. Being a "family man" doesn't mix very well with 2-door cars, and it sometimes means making sacrifices as well.
One day I would love to get my hands on another one, as soon as the kids are old enough, but I already have 5 cars and 2 bikes in the garage... Yes, someone...
I should have pulled the trigger on the Match1 then. I was really really close at the time, but finally put my eyes on a Cayman.
Bad decision, just 2 seats becomes a problem when you have >1 kids wanting to have a ride with you, easy maths...
Not the best place in the world to be, but rear...
We can finally say we agree on something, VAG steering might be among the worst (let's keep Opel aside today), and that's indeed the saddest thing.
There is no need to mention Lotus. I've previously owned pretty standard cars like Civic Type-R or Giulia, and both are far ahead VAG (including...
I have never blamed Ford for anything. I'm fully aware about what our deeply retarded politicians are doing here in Europe. I'm just looking for a way to avoid these features that I don't want. And hopefully, less annoying than turning them off every single time.
With regards to the steering...
What do you mean with "unintended consequences"?
As another mate has said, it would be perfect if this feature could just be kept recorded when you leave the car. And there is nothing wrong with that, taking into account that you could manually disable it after all. We're not talking about...
Sorry, but I want to keep it off permanently, not everytime I jump into the car. That's what I meant.
Regarding the steering feeling, it still feels really floaty even in the "sport" setting (for my taste), but I guess I'll have to live with it.
Hi,
ÂżHow can it be switched off?
It might be the feature that I hate the most, by far. I don't like the steering wheel feel at all, too soft and unreal, and lane assist just make everything worst. It feels like having no control at all about steering.
I see that some people here disagree, but I'm with you. This car truly feels floaty on the front end (but, as always, everything depends).
In my case, I'm quite used to my daily driver, an Audi quattro lowered with Eibach+Bilstein. Which is like driving a war tank, as it feels solid and stable...
I did. Mostly because mine is manual as well :)
My other cars are all auto, and it's honestly a better choice for daily use, but it didn't make sense for me on the Mustang.
There is a thread on X with people fighting about F1 being better than NASCAR, or the opposite...
This society is fucked. I'm getting old for all this shit.
I'll open a new thread myself. I want to have a good fight with any unknown fella about apples being way better than pears. We should ban...
As European, this will just make things even worse here. Because some political parties have been feeding the idea of USA being evil, and everything from there deserving to be banned and destroyed.
I'm more scared than ever about having my almost brand new DH scratched from side to side by any...
This makes me think about people asking me "why do I need so much power with current speed limits" , and myself trying to explain them how a big block makes me drive much more relaxed than with tigh 2.0 turbo engines, because I can keep rpms very low with still enough torque, and having a...
Fully agree on that.
It doesn't look like something which was been done and thought from the beginning, but a last minute haircut after too many tequila shots.
