Seems everyone is running away from Blue Ember because they think it will be too popular, which is why I chose it. I might wind up being in the exclusive category after all is said and done. The new mystichrome.
White cars look like household appliances. "Powered by Maytag" would look...
Mine is the same as yours sans HP. Premium DH Blue Ember AP 10A, no other options. Ordered Apr 8, received VIN Jun 15, originally scheduled for the week of Sept 4, window sticker appeared Aug 15, as of now blend date is next Tuesday Aug 22.
I'm in no hurry though, feel free to call Ford and...
Hopefully a man of constant sorrow like yourself would take this delay in stride. Besides, you should know by now the nearest Ford auto man's Bristol, a geographical oddity, and he's not a Dapper Dan man.
Alternatives:
1) go to the dealer where you put in the order and tell them you want...
Interesting job you Mother has. Just out of curiosity, does she own a Ford and, if so, what packages?
Here's some ideas for her to consider:
1) The Audiophile Pony package: no speakers or amps, only 14ga speaker wires to each location and RCA signal cables from the head unit. Adds...
Thanks for the effort and the offer...
Q1: is track training for DH owners a possibility?
Q2: why 2 tablets on the dash vs traditional gauges? Is that driven by integration, logistics, or trying to appeal to a specific target audience?
I used to hold dear a life goal of eventually owning a BMW since I saw a 633CSI in 1984. Now that I can afford one, I no longer wish to get near a bimmer, not any of them.
Thankfully I did not get to choose. In time-honored Ford tradition (you can have any color as long as it's black), mine comes with one color (indigo) and that's that. Setting that aside, not a fan of red seats on a car, carmine, deadpool, wine...I'm too old for that business. I do like...
Since the B&O rig comes with the car - even though I would have opted out - I might as well put it through its paces. Nothing wrong with the songs listed here, I like those aplenty, but you gotta play the right stuff to properly tune the audio system.
I would start off with "Too Much" from...
Would you please help out the ill informed with some information?
Is there a benefit to forged vs cast?
Is there a performance benefit to a 2piece vs 1 piece or is it just a mix of colors?
What is so special about 6061-T6 alloy? Is that what the terminator is made of?
What is ceramic polishing...
I get you and agree, except you probably meant you prefer to play stereo tracks in stereo instead of "upmixing" via Dolby PL. I agree stereo tracks in other-than-stereo sound muddy, but downmixing 5.1 tracks to stereo is even worse.
At home I play music and movies in whatever format they...
Agreed. Besides, I just checked, the CobraJet (V8) can still post faster 1/4 mile times (the only acceleration time that matters really). They didn't specify which V8...
I'll check again after Tesla wins LeMans. The day a sewing machine "beats" a V8 will be a sad sad day.
The 1st dealer I went to told me the markup would be $10k to $15k. I called another dealer who had never heard of th DH and they agreed to MSRP. That was on 4/8.
First a disclaimer: If I read this right you are not inclined to DIY, so that in itself makes a big difference. I'm the opposite, and would be loathe to sink additional money into a purchase knowing I could do better on my own, and at a lower cost too.
I've posted before that IMHO paying extra...
Well there you go, that's what I'm curious about. Although the PP for the 2023 Mustang GT included extra cooling and "some other stuff," the HP information in the 2024 DH configurator does not show that. Is there a reference that you know of that shows what exactly comes with the DH HP?
Perhaps I should remind folks that the purpose of this post was not to criticize the choices of others, but rather to find out if there is more to the HP than shown in the configurator.
For example, when opting for the 2023 Mustang GT performance package you got:
1 - Larger radiator
2- Brembo...
I heartily concur. I've always wondered why Ford doesn't aim high like they did in the '60s. Nowadays they seem content with building just pickup trucks and duking it out with the Camaro in a pony car war. It's almost as if they're resigned to be 2nd tier. They could easily produce a modern...
Navy Seabees, 2 combat tours, love dogs, hate cats, drink like a fish twice a year, been with the same woman for 35 years. I wish I could say I love American V8's, but I've not had one since I was a teenager and "inherited" an old Granada. That's the main reason for getting a Mustang, I just...
I used to think engineers gravitated towards Acuras, like physicians to Mercedes or lawyers to BMWs. Now I realize engineers and Mustangs make sense, I wonder what other traits are common. Perhaps military service, preference of Bourbon over Scotch, love of dogs + disdain of cats, affinity...
