I really should have been more thorough with having it checked, but with winter just ending, I was rushing to get them on and to enjoy the car. Now I’m paying for it lol. I’m really hoping it’s the tires and not the wheels
Yes and thank you! When I am able to get them up to the shop, I will have them remove both wheels from the tires to see. Gonna try and get up there tomorrow
I agree. I’m leaning more towards a wheel issue. Going to try and get these fronts up to discount tire and have them put back on the balancer to see.
I should probably start looking into if steeda will cover the wheel(s)
Update everyone. After putting the stock front wheels and tires and leaving the steeda and contis on the rear, the shake in the steering wheel is gone at all speeds. So this helps me completely narrow it down to the fronts being the issue. Hopefully I can resolve the rest without it being a...
Taking off the fronts now and putting the stock wheel and tires back on. Gonna test to see if there’s any difference. Going to leave the steeda and contis on the rear
They are the steeda trident wheels. I’m honestly not sure if they did. The drivers side rear did need resealed because it was leaking from the bead. discount tire did mount them though.
Yes rims were swapped and the wheels and tires have now been balanced twice. Once at discount tire and most recently at Ford. I didn’t have the chance to talk to the Ford mechanic, just the notes about the two front tires being out of round and the two rears needing significant weight to correct.
Unfortunately the tires are much larger so swapping won’t work. I think in the meantime, I will put my stock wheels and tires back on until I can get it all resolved.
Hey all,
So I recently installed the Steeda trident wheels with the Continental Extreme Contact 02s and noticed recently that there was a very small shake in the steering wheel after reaching speeds of 50-65 mph. I took the car back in to get the balance checked and the technician advised that...
Will do. I’ve taken the first photo of where it is currently. I’ll stop and pick some up. When did it concern you to the point where you were like, “okay this is really not right” ?
Back in the early manufacturing days, there was a period of 3 days where a supposed 11 vehicles were affected, but there could have been more. It was from January 30th - February 1st. Ford launched a harvesting program, labeled 24H01. It was never actually diagnosed as a valve seal issue, but it...
I think so too, just wanted a second opinion since my build date was of 05/24, which was the timeframe for the valve seal issue. The car doesn’t appear to burn any oil
