Based on the thorough posts and opinions on whether I should change the oil and oil filter my mind says: yes. I shall do 2 things: change the oil to pure synthetic, Calumet Branded Products, Royal Purple HPS 5W 30 and keep a sample for Blackstone. Thank you all for your informative responses.
