If you want to protect the paint PPF is the only way to protect it from rock Chips. If the car is mainly garage kept the PPF should last up to 10 years and then it can easily be replaced. Ceramic coating is a great paint protectant, but it will not stop rock chips.

I would wait a month or so and try again, you may see better price when spring hits, and the dealers think they can flip quicker.

I just went from a 20 GT with PP1, to a 13 Boss 302, the difference in gearing of that 82 is huge, you are right about the 4.09 gears, hell 4.30's might even be better

They definitely needed to have one with the PP. The 3.73 gears would make a huge improvement over the 3.55s

Take it as a lesson well learned, and you will be prepared for the next time, as pretty much all dealers are pulling the same crap as yours did. It is part of the modern Dealership business practice.

You got the typical dealer version, wash the car, spray on the ceramic coating and wipe it off. I got took once to by a dealer. The dealer version is useless and does not last.
