Sure, but I'm also positive that the Trofeos would fair worse. Max performance summer tires aren't preventing other manufacturers from producing vehicles in the winter...
What I don't quite understand about the HP is why not ship it with tires that won't be permanently damaged in the cold weather? Instead of the Trofeos, the car should have the option to come with PS4S (or the new PSS5) or the ECS 02.
Most people that track their cars will end up purchasing...
This is more common than people think.
I replaced the brake lines on my 335i at around 75k miles with stainless steel aftermarket brake lines. I cut the factory brake lines just to see the cross section and I can confirm that they are steel braid with a jacket. Had I known that, I would have...
The 2025 G87 M2 received an LCI refresh and a power bump so it should be an improvement over the 2024 G87 M2. Did the DH receive a mid cycle refresh in 2025?
Maculkin had over 140 Corvettes on the lot a month or two ago. You can also custom order one as well... just like you would have to for the DH.
DH no Premium needs the Recaros and HP.
You realize the fact that the Mustang and C8 are in the same purchase price discussion already means the...
So a DH (non Premium) with HP and Recaros is comparable to a C8 1LT Z51 + Magneride.
I believe the C8 1LT Z51 + Magneride is about $78k.
The issue I have with MSRP vs MSRP, strictly, is that it's similar to magazine racing and doesn't reflect real world considerations. At the end of the day...
Indeed they did. For a DH to be comparable to a G87 M2, it needs to be a Premium trim and have Recaros and the Track Handling package. I believe that puts it at $78k MSRP while the G87 M2 MSRPs for around $64k.
It is also possible to get a discount on a G87 M2 these days:
Well, that's pretty much the problem for Ford once you consider the C8 Z51 sells for about the same price as a DH Premium with Recaros and the Handling Package. Heck, even the G87 M2 undercuts the DH Premium with Recaros and the Handling Package by almost $15k.
I'm not even sure that if there weren't limited allocations/production Ford would even be able to sell that many more DHs. It's in the same price range as a C8 Z51 and if you're not already a Mustang fan, chances are you'd gravitate towards a mid engine rear wheel drive platform for the same price.

Looks like that is not going to help the Mustang DH Premium argument/sales when the C8 Stingray model MSRPs are not going increase...
To be honest, I'd prefer an SUV for every day and winter driving. I'd pick the 2025 Explorer ST for an every day driver not because it's the fastest or best handling SUV. I'd pick it because it's common - easy and inexpensive to repair and maintain relative to its competitors. It gets decent...
This is what Stellantis did and it bit them in the @ss. Ford is on a similar path with the higher trims of the Mustang.
The DH vs C8 dilemma (for Ford) is the same as the special BMW M3/M4 editions. I'm simply not going to spend $120+k on a BMW because that's Porsche 911 territory. I'm just...
