Try starting it in neutral not in park, see if you still hear the sound.
Might be the shift lock? I remember hearing something similar in my dad’s expedition.
Weird sound, does the car jerk forward or backward along the sound?
I used to face something similar in my old genesis, but only when i went directly from Drive or Reverse to Parking. Because the torque wasn’t released, and therefore when it starts it does that weird click.
Try one thing, next...
Interesting outcome, Thanks for checking!
I’ll ask them if they are aware how to apply latests updates to my car, if i feel they are clueless, then i might just ignore it unless I face issues with the car.
They must have been trained or informed by ford for such cases… can’t believe they are...
If only it sounded like a sports car….Would have considered it… have a listen in the video below.
Where as the V8 sound is a source of joy every time it starts.
Damn, thats bad news on the long term… am in the middle east region, and we don’t have Fordpass here… when i tried refreshing the update check (while connected to my mobile wifi hotspot), it doesn’t find any updates..
I saw it online its 2023 GT, but same tech, i noticed it on my car, asked my wife to rev it while i look into it at different modes.
Here’s another one of the 2024, but this is in sport mode, which flaps a bit more aggressively. Even quiet mode reliefs the pressure by opening up a bit at wide...
I also can’t seem to differentiate in loudness between Normal and track much, i might have lost some hearing sensitivity from loud cars. But I noticed that on Normal Exhaust, it keeps altering the valve while driving depending on throttle.
I don’t like my valves flipping around nonstop...
I wish my grandpa was this cool ! I bet the neighborhood young kids love your V8 sounds around..
Enjoy the ride!! Must be cool driving the good old muscle cars and buying the latest one with peak of technology.
That’s a life advice right there… a lot of people waste their life saving for the unknown, they end up too old to drive and missed the potential fun they could have had.
At least for once, own the car of your dreams, spec it the way you’d feel good about it. And drive it like you stole it.
For me, I picked the Performance pack for a couple of reasons:
- Magneride is quite noticeable for a daily, when in comfort normal setting, i don’t feel any road bumps for long trips. And yet super stiff in sport or even stiffer in track mode.
- Brembo brakes, Torsen Diff, and 275 tires.
You...
Congrats, am sure you’ll enjoy it.
My suggestion, don’t get yourself too worried with the issues. Hope that yours is not a bad apple.
Did you go for full premium with all goodies? Or forced by what dealer is choosing to import?
I know exactly what you mean buddy :D owned one for 4 years, lovely car. Simple and practical tech.
Your best option is probably do the same thing on mobile.
