I got it too. The last mention I saw about this was as a fix for the "won't crank, won't start" shitshow a couple of months ago. I took my car to the dealer to "reprogram the BCM" then according the notice. The dealer gave it back to me after having it a day and said nothing was wrong. Well...
I've been driving convertibles since I was 16 and that's a lot of years ago. 68 Datsun 1600, 69 Datsun 1600, 2000, 2012, 2015 and now 2024 Mustangs. Would not have it any other way. Oh, and, absolutely no regrets!
Yeah, I lived in Laguna Niguel for 27 years, 4 miles from the beach. But, when I semi-retired, that real estate was too rich for my blood and Mom really needs the help. She lives out here. Once she's gone, I'm leaving CA all together. I need a state where the government is all F'd up.
Same specs as my build. Of course the B&O now is a stand alone, kind of, and the paint is a different shade, but still an added cost. My build was just about exactly 60K, 67.7K for MY 2025.
My build would be $7700 over what I paid. And, I would have to go with the Molten Magenta since Rapid Red is no longer an option. So glad I have mine already!
Same here. I live in the desert, so this time of year, it's mostly top-up time. But, driving down El Paseo on Christmas Day with the top down jamming on some tunes is fantastic. I can usually go topless from Oct to May.
My first Mustang was a 67 notch back, so I am used to the vert shape and not...
My Rapid Red has the most orange peel I have ever had on a car, much worse than your DH. I had it paint corrected and Ceramic coated by my detailer the first week I had it. He uses Gyeon products. It is much better now and is a joy to wash with the water just blowing off.
I agree in does not seem to be related to alignment or suspension issues, nothing vibrates except the windshield.
Wonder if there's anything that can be done about it.
I just checked, mine is secured to the firewall just as in the photos above. I'm cancelling that "all day" appointment to do what took me 15 seconds to do. I'll have them "check it" next oil change while it's there just to clear the recall.
Yeah, I'm in the club too. I have an appointment for Monday, but if that picture is what we need to look at, I may just check mine and cancel if all is good. Ford said they would need my car all day because their tech is too busy right now.
When I first read your post, I wondered why you said it was only good for non-401A cars. I realized I had never sat in a base model, didn't realize that console was plastic when mine was stitched leather. If I had a base model, I might be interested. But, that nice clear coat would sure scratch...
Nope, just the back and side glass. The cumulative effect makes it look like the windshield got tinted too. I have never done the side glass in my other Mustangs, and I'm really glad I did this time. I like the look!
I went with Expel film, 15% on the back glass and 35% on the side glass. Love the look and the protection for me and the interior. No problems with vision either day or night and not quite dark enough to get LEOs attention.
It took the shop about 3 hours and was about $325.00.
The weather is getting too hot out here to go topless for much longer. Here's a recent one, more to come sometime in Oct. when it cools down below 100 again.
I've had Craven Speed Stubby antennas on my last 3 Mustangs. I have. never noticed any depreciation in reception and I do listen to FM a little. And, they look way better than stock.
I love mine! The ride is just fine and the Goodyears are great tires.
The only down-side it there are a lot of crevices to clean break dust out of. Can't wait for the pads to be broken in so they shed less.
I noticed the other day that there are dedicated LED's in the upper outside corners of the intake snorkels on the front grill. Was just wondering if they serve a purpose or are just more accent lighting. They are pretty bright and only on when the headlights are on, not with day-time running lights.
