I haven't used Alexa or any other phone connectivity such as Appleplay or Android. Oddly, everything seems to be working this morning. A few years back, they had to replace the entire unit in an Expedition I leased.

I doubt it is XM, in this car, I've been using it for a year now without issue. I've had XM for 20 years now, no PIN.

When I try to change a radio station using voice recognition, it asks for a PIN. Today, not only did it ask for a PIN, but now I have no radio. I was able to use recognition to adjust the temperature without issue. Any ideas?

Does it affect the sensitivity of the touch? I've had screen protectors on my cell phone that required a much stronger touch to have it work.

I agree, I'm usually the only one in the car. Once I have things set up, I don't have a need to be touching the screen.

Is it really necessary?

It doesn't use the playlists, so I am going to stick with the iPhone using it as an iPod.

I'm copying over my music now. Did it keep your playlists when you put it on a USB?

I'm not worried about cloud-based stuff. I'm moving my iTunes over to a USB and will see how that works (less wires and smaller). This older iPhone I have in place of an iPod seems to work

Wow. That is interesting. I don't know if I can even figure out where my iTunes music is located :( I might like to try that.

I have a subscription to XM and use the iPhone only on longer trips. I downloaded several articles on moving my music from iTunes to my Samsung phone. One of these days.

I don't know.

I tried that and it keeps dropping "Trip 2" when the engine shuts off.
