beautiful man. thank you for sharing!

what are your thoughts about the tire sizes now that youve got them on your rig? you like the way they look? How do you feel about the way they fill up the wheel well? Youre on stock suspension right?

How does it feel to step up to 10 and 11 inch wide wheels???

I’m very happy with the setup!
I was really worried about wheel gap on stock suspension as I’m super ocd with that. You really can’t tell the difference from the stock setup so I’m totally relieved.
Because of the lower profile I can definitely feel the bumps more coming from my huge 31535r20 and 285/35r20 winter setup but it also handles wayyy better! The wheel weight saving of 12lbs a corner is also very noticeable , car is super snappy and responsive.
also just filled up with E85 so damn this car is a beast now!
Highly recommend this setup for $3k

thats great news.

ive also been a bit of a nervous nelly about how the wheel gap is going to look after deviating from the stock tire sizes. certainly something you dont want to be unsatisfied with after spending nearly 2k on tires and alignments. ive got more confidence moving forward in a few months now that you did it first hah.

clarify for me what youve noticed between your 19 and 20 inch wheels/tire setup - im not reading your thoughts correctly sorry. You were feeling the bumps more in your 20 inch setup, but also feel the 20 inch wheel and lower profile tire it rides on handled better?

Dude , after 3 modern mustangs and so many mistakes on tire size choices i finally got it right with this setup.
The 20” setup has over 1” greater diameter which made the car sit higher up, plus larger sidewall makes the car a little squishy on hard cornering but that’s ok for winter around here. The 20” setup does look awesome though, fills the gap really well. The 20’s absorb bumps much better because of the beefier sidewalls.
So the 285/35r19 and 305/35r19 are much lower progile and performs far superior and keeps the car low for high speed handling. And the unsprung weight savings is massive!

gotcha. okay thank you for that. Well nice work nailing down the ideal wheel/tire combo. I hope i feel the same way soon lol. Theres so many size combos out there that its definitely been a daunting consideration.

thats also great that you can genuinely feel the difference the higher quality/lighter/stiffer wheel makes over the stocks. ive been preparing myself to be underwhelmed so that whatever it ends up feeling like i wont be disappointed lol
