I havenāt really heard good things about MBRP tbh, seems like most people that buy from them have something going on so I wouldnāt really want to have to deal with them. Iām not a fan of MBRP Race/Street but I do have to say their āmuffler deletesā sound pretty good. Iām looking for something loud - not obnoxious but loud enough to sound good, turn heads and be noticed. I heard some videos of ford performance extreme and it does sound pretty good, my favorite. I heard itās close enough to how loud the active valve gt gets. But if yours itās louder than ford performance I might consider getting mbrp muffler delete instead, way cheaper but I donāt wanna get rid of my mufflersI don't have any other videos of it at the moment.
On cold start, it's pretty loud -- there's no sneaking out, but it's not an unpleasant volume or sound. It does not drone at highway speeds. I love how the system sounds and have zero actual complaints on sound.
If you have the funds, I would suggest doing a cat back system vs the axel back that I did (see the review I did), but if you don't live where rust is an issue you can save by not going full stainless.
Ford Performance is going to cost significantly more, but you may find value in it being OEM. Can't say I'd choose to work with MBRP again based on the experience I had, but you may have a different experience...
We are always happy to fill the voidOrdered Steeda jacking rails. Pissed it's even necessary but appreciate the aftermarket stepping in where Ford continues to drop the ball.
Billetworkz shifter ordered. Code "LABORDAY10".Ordered manual shift boot PR3Z7277AA. Will wait for sale to order Billetworkz shifter.
Have you used it to jack the car yet?@SteedaTech Mustang Full-Length Jacking Rails
Value:
5/10 (bonus +1 for sale) - Hard to gauge on this one. I paid $195.99 shipped. It's box steel with some holes and paint.
Ease of install:
9/10 - Doesn't get much easier. A few bolts and retainers. No lift necessary. I used ramps. All the necessary hardware (and then some) included.
Overall:
7/10 - Quality is excellent on product itself, that said, the instructions are borderline useless. Steeda, saying "industry standard" is not an excuse here. You don't print and include instructions with the product, making the customer go online to print them, meaning you don't need to worry about saving ink and paper. Try making them useful and clear. Many extra hardware items that were entirely unneeded. If you're looking for a partner to do this, ship me the parts for free and I will create you some amazing instructional documents.
Notes:
Steeda's quality is sincerely top tier. Price to match, but product arrives looking as it should and it's obviously well engineered, produced, and quality checked before shipping. If I were buying a suped up Mustang it would be from Steeda - though the marketing needs refinement (the Q850 Streetfighter?!), because of the obvious care they put in the products they produce.
Yes! I have a rubber jack puck that I use to protect the finish. Rails work wonderfully.Have you used it to jack the car yet?
What do you put on your jack to keep from marring the finish?
