SR Jacking rail installation

I bought a set of SR Jacking Rails the other day. My 2024 coupe has a floor pan cover that goes over the spot to install the rails (the inside of the lip, right?). What do I do? If I cut the cover, there is no place to mount it back on, I think. Do I remove the cover? Am I a complete moron?
Help please.

I read where they were taking the bolts out of the cover and pinching the cover between the rail and the floor pan
