Time for another meet up!

We've all tinkered with our cars since the inaugural meet up (five months ago - where did that time go?), so it will be great to catch up again.

Google Maps: Lowood - Rudy & Ada cafe

Have a wander around with Google street view.

Opposite Rudy and Ada Cafe is a park (with facilities) and parking in the highlighted area.

It's nice to escape the city rat race and get out into a rural environment.


Other location suggestions for these meets received so far include; The Yatala Pie Shop, Sanctuary Cove, Old Cleveland Lighthouse, The Gold Coast Motor Museum, and the Montauk Tavern (previously Harrigans) at Calypso Bay. Let's choose one of these for the next one.


S550 owners welcome too, of course!

I was half expecting a second wave of new S650 owners to the Forum since our last meetup, but it's been very quiet on that front.

I’m in. Got mine fitted ip yesterday. Took me a few hours before i finally took to it with the drill and hole saw. But stoked with it.

I'm glad that rain band came through at 02:30 this morning.
Roads mostly dry for a real-time recce to Lowood.

I would recommend going via Glamorgan Vale.
Despite the two 60kmh zones, the hills and dales and twists and turns make it a more interesting and scenic drive, compared to going via Fernvale.
Also, Fernvale is usually busy on a Sunday morning due to the markets being open.

The purpose of going out there this morning was to confirm parking availability.

On a Sunday at 10am, no problem!
This area was almost vacant.

The Rudy and Ada cafe for waypoint reference is just across the street.

Hoping for decent weather on the day.

I would go through Logan Village, towards Browns Plains, then turning onto Logan Mwy, BUT with a little detour, I can go to Beenleigh/Yatala if you wanna meet there earlier

I thought your car looked familiar. Every time I have my other half in the car Im "Look, there is the Grey GT, must live around here" and give a friendly wave. Yes, we will be there this time, already noted on the calendar.

Sounds like a plan. Lets meet up somewhere close, and anyone else who lives on the South Side of Brisbane that wants to cruise up at the same time can meet there as well. Its a little over an hour from here to Lowood so say around 8:30-8:45. Any particular spot?

Fantastic! Maybe we can catch up at Logan Village 7eleven carpark (plenty of parking normally), but I'm open to suggestions. 8.30 - 8.45am sounds perfect

I'll be coming from Bayside, I'm keen to meet up - what about the Maccas/Coffee Club at Meadowbrook (opposite the Hospital)? nice and easy to get onto the Logan Mwy from there.
