As @MNPony stated - Remove appropriate wheel well liner screws and reuse. If I remember correctly there are 2 screws (1 each side) that are almost to short but ultimately worked in the end. Same experience I had…they provided double sided tape but I didn’t use it. They seem pretty solid just using the push-pins.
