I received and installed the Red Tiger F17 dash cam. It took a little bit of time to get it installed because it arrived when we were right in the middle of extreme cold. It was finally warm enough that I felt comfortable to be out in the garage and moving the plastic panels.
The first camera had an issue and wouldn't power up after installing, but Red Tiger quickly got a replacement out. Those things happen so not a slam on the product and they were responsive about it and trying to get it up and running.
Install went fairly smooth, but don't make the mistake I did on the rear camera. There is a lot of wiring for the camera so that it works with many different cars I'm sure. Start with wiring at the front windshield and work your way back to the rear camera. I started at the back which meant I have a big bundle of wire up front so this weekend when it warms up I have to move the wiring again to take the slack out of the front and hide it in the rear quarter panel. My mistake on that one.
I didn't do the hard wire option, mainly because of the weather. Too cold in Michigan to be working on that project in an unheated garage. So in the spring I will tackle that.
The new replacement camera powered up with no issues. Took me a few minutes to figure out the app and how to connect the camera to my phone, make sure that the camera wifi is "on" when you are setting it up.
I'm still figuring out all the settings and learning how to download the video. That will be the next update.
