Hello! Need opinions to see if my rear drive shaft needs replacing. When I'm talking off or slowing down, after holding the break for a while, there's this "clunck" noise coming from what seems like the rear of my car? Seems like my car drives slower now... feels like something is holding my car back, if that makes sense. I have a 2019 ecoboost mustang, 10R80. For the slowness, maybe the air cabin filter needs to be changed as I haven't even bothered checking. Anyone, please give me your advices?! 🙏🙏🙏

It's difficult to say without looking at the underside. Normally you don't need to replace the drive shaft as the bearings can be easily replaced. Without looking, my guess would be a CV joint as they have a history of making noise like that when they fail. The brakes should be checked as well as any nuts that might have come loose. The solutions would probably be to take it to a dealer or somebody you trust to work on your car and have them give it a good checkout. Sounds like that are sometimes easy to find and other times difficult to locate.

Oh dear. Okay, I'll have to take it in with a friend to take a look at it. I feel taking it to ford, they'll diagnose more issues with it then it is to fork out some more money from me lol. Thanks, Dena! 🤩
