Does this automatically follow the colour you set the cabin lighting to on the main display? Does it have an option to quickly change it to normal light in case you actually need to find something inside the car…?

No, if you mean ambient lighting, it needs to be adjusted separately, but they have the same colors. And yes, if you want to search for something, just press on the bulb and it will light up in the same color as the factory setting.
