I'm a brand new member of this group. My 2025 Dark Horse was just delivered yesterday. It is beautiful and so much fun to drive, except that the Recaro seats are an incredibly uncomfortable ride for my 6' 2" 260 lb husband.

We read on this thread (https://www.mustang7g.com/forums/threads/found-new-seats-now-need-help-wiring.160069/post-3255168) that it is possible to swap them out with the larger, more comfortable electric seats. I'm aware that there is the possibility that there is no wiring harness; we'll be checking that out today. I would like to find someone willing to do an even swap if they have the blue seats that match my car (Ember Blue). Anyone interested?
I don’t know why the Recaro seats are an option. Seems very few people even like them because of the negative options they give you.

They look sharp and were comfortable enough for me but I wasn't terribly upset when we realized they won't work for my husband. I definitely don't understand the extra expense considering the functionality lost with the Recaros.

Are you still interested in swapping out your Recaro Seats? I have the seats you are looking for.

Keep this thread alive. I also have the blue recaros in my dark horse with the 700A package, and there is a harness under my seat with 1 or 2 small connectors that are just floating free. If it's possible to swap in premium seats, run some FORscan and get the heated/cooling function back (as well as the electronic adjustment), then I have some recaros for trade too. Would love to see how this follows through.

Ford paid what Recaro had to have for them (Recaro) to make margins acceptable to Recaro. Or, Ford made more from them by marketing them as a "premium option", likely the former. Recaro sells to a lot of different types of customers. I used to run a Tier 1 supplier to Ford and others and we sold to who we could make acceptable margins. Ford wasn't the only manufacturer we sold to so they had to pony up the money for what we sold.....no pun intended.

The Recaro Seats can be difficult to get in to.
You have to slide your butt over the seat ridge & slide around.
I’m only 6-1 or so & 185 pounds and it’s just uncomfortable to get into the car. 🚗
