Cherry bombs, Hooker headers, Lakewood traction bars, Cragers, air shocks . . . the memories go on and on. 🙂

I used to go through the JC Whitney catalog and figure out ways to save gas. Adding up all of their claims, I figure my car could MAKE 3 mpg. I’d never have to buy gas again!!
Would be nice to save gas. But when you have a GT with a supercharger the only way you save gas is to leave it in the garage, and take out the Ecoboost. I grew up reading JC Whitney. Studied it like the Bible. Actually never looked at parts for the car I hated with a passion. That's the Mustang. Only recently fell in love with them, and bought two. Ecoboost Premium, and base GT with Whipple. Haven't seen a JC Whitney catalog since 77/78. Still don't like the "Disco" cars of any make. Only cars I liked then were Chevy's. Actually turned down a 68 Mustang fastback for $500. Actually the only Mustang I liked back then. My car was a 69 Impala SS 427 with 430 horses. Now it's Mustang.

Yep. Had nearly all those on my 69 Impala SS 427 430 horses. No sway bar. White with red interior. Very rare care. I can't imagine what it would be worth today. Probably more than a Dark Horse Premium with those new fangled plastic looking rims which are 8 grand alone. My 69 Nova sold for 75 grand. Had a small block crate 427 that ran hot. Also had most you mentioned. Balls to the walls car which ran like a raped ape.

Back in the day, 60s and 70s, lots of us would install Cherry Bomb mufflers on our muscle cars and sedans. Nothing sounds like them. I'm thinking about putting them on my 24 GT with Whipple SC. Or we'd use regular glass packs. Anyone has experience with these on newer Mustang's?
The Cherry 🍒 Bomb Muffins would be considered very Raw today.
The sound would take away the purpose of the Active Exhaust?
Who really knows?
They may sound better than you think?

I didn't get the optional AE. Was 1,225 in 24, and I think they're slightly over 1,500? I didn't get them because I read people had problems with them. Cherry Bombs has turbo mufflers that I'm going to look into. I'll most likely keep it stock. It's not like I'm going to drag race. My Nova 427 Small block had them. Sold it for y daughters 24 GT Mustang and a down payment for my brother's 25 GT.
