Only it says the replacement will be a range extender version with full electric drive - as in the same thing as before, but with a small ICE to 'extend range'. They are quite common elsewhere in the world and are easy to create alongside a full EV. BMW i3 was one of the first.

I liked the 2 way power station; I could use the truck as battery backup, but locally, the truck is barely capable of 220 miles due to our relatively high speed limits and _slightly_ higher customary speed.
