Im convinced it is a bug in the system and hopefully a future OTA update will fix it.... Until then I continue to dutifully reset it

For anyone saying it's OTA updates, mine still resets my settings from time to time. I have auto updates off, my telematics control unit unplugged, and no Ford app on my phone. As expected I get an error when trying to connect the car to a wifi modem/router. I still get wireless android auto which connects via wifi though so maybe it's all a big psyop by Ford and they still can communicate with my car, who knows. I stopped giving a damn about updates when one for Sync 3 locked gauge cluster brightness to the infotainment brightness. So I could either have my gauges too dim to see well in lit areas of town or have my screen distractingly bright when before I could adjust their brightness independently and everything was fine. Big F U to the pinhead who decided to add that junk to the update.

I had a similar problem with the colors and gauge settings on my 24 GT. I finally figured out that I had to press and hold the memory seat #1 button for it to maintain my preferences. Have you tried that?
Settings still get reset after programming the memory button and I use the same fob every time. I'm conviced it's more because "WOW uNrEaL eNgInE bideogame graphics!!!! Make da car picture spin! Oh look it do burnout movie in track mode!" vs stable software code.
