285s on 11 inch wheels?

I’m looking at a listing for 20x11 wheels that come with 285s. Is that too much of a stretch?

Message the seller and ask for a picture from the right angle so you can see. IMO you will be fine, but most people would agree that 305's would be better. The tires on those wheels aren't exactly high performance tires so you'll probably be replacing them anyway.

Take the tire, brand, size and model, then go to the tire manufacturers website and look at recommended wheel width. I would not depend on what people think, I woulnd depend on what the manufacturer says.

USTRA guidelines for rim width allows the 285/35R 20 to be compatible with rim widths 9 - 11.5 inches wide.

Thats a bit of a stretch! we normally run a 295/305 on an 11''
