I’m picking my car up Saturday, and I ended up financing through USAA for 5.74%. When speaking with the finance manager at the dealer, they stated they haven’t seen below 6.5% in 6+ months even with excellent credit.
I know there are many waiting far longer than me, but mine has a built date of 8/16, ship date of 8/21, and still hasn’t left the loading ramp in Melvindale, MI. Seems to be quite an inconsistent process.
I ordered a base GT on 3/27. Tracker shows shipped on 8/21, and my car is still sitting in Michigan waiting to ship. Not sure what the process is, but it seems a lot of vehicles are built and waiting for weeks/months.
Does anyone know what the price level code means? My order was submitted with the price level code of 420, which does not have the GG tax. But price level code 425 does have GG tax. Does the new price level code supersede all previous orders?
I definitely agree. My frustration in the matter is that my deal I agreed to has changed. And possible lesson learned for putting a non-refundable deposit down, but I also assumed that all the pricing and information was accurate.
You are right, it’s not Ford raising the price. However, this tax is included in the total MSRP of the vehicle. So the price and order information ford put out was not accurate.
The dealer can no longer offer me the vehicle at our agreed upon price. Gas guzzler tax is included in the price of the vehicle, not paid after the fact.
My dealer does not collect any tax from me at the time of sale, and I’m responsible for that at the time of registration. If what you said is...
I completely agree with you. However, it becomes a breach of contract as the dealer is no longer able to sell you a vehicle for the agreed upon price. Creates a bit of a predicament.
Exactly. My build will now be $1,000 more than my order sheet and the price I signed with the dealer. I also have a $1,000 non-refundable down payment, so It’ll be interesting to see how they respond.
