  1. Base Interior Spied Up Close for the First Time.

Understandable. But it's what Ford wants us to want (because cost reduction/move to autonomous/EVs whatever) and they'll have a strategy to convince us it's a good thing. They wouldn't be the first company to skew the focus group questions in favour of their preferred outcome so they can say 'in...
  2. Base Interior Spied Up Close for the First Time.

Yes. But big telco money wants you to be addicted to your phone. You need it...NEEEEED. AFAIK there's no enthusiasm for autonomously disabling phone screens when driving despite evidence that it contributes to auto wrecks. Incoming calls, outgoing calls, nav etc sure but nfi why anyone would...
  3. Base Interior Spied Up Close for the First Time.

Agree that car enthusiasts are a minority (deviant sub-culture? :giggle:) but it's a pretty big one. And folks who buy Mustangs in general are an even bigger minority (enthusiasts and non-enthusiasts). What they all have in common is the desire for the brand experience that a Mustang brings vs a...
  4. Base Interior Spied Up Close for the First Time.

Instead of changing the design to suit humans, they're changing humans to fit the design.
  5. Base Interior Spied Up Close for the First Time.

Precisely the reason a previous gen Ranger and Everest are in my driveway instead of new gen. Drove the new gen and just didn't like having to look away/down towards the floor for that long. I'll wager it's because they want you to get used to it. Big square front on the new gen ranger? EV...
  6. What are your thoughts on the interior of the S650? Specifically the screens

Awww no love for the Stinger? Not my cup of tea but was seen by many as a good entry level performance sedan. Excellent tuning potential too. The screen was redesigned so it was larger but more integrated than the previous 'in your eye' incantation.
  7. What are your thoughts on the interior of the S650? Specifically the screens

Interesting observation, the big central screen is what put me off the Next Gen Ranger which IIRC is lower-set than the Ram. I appreciated the benefits from a tech perspective but the bottom of the screen just seemed too low for me to be comfortable with accessing anything down there...
  8. What are your thoughts on the interior of the S650? Specifically the screens

Hmmm and yet...the very concept was brought to you by 'boomers'. Follow them for more design tips etc. Although to be fair this dash is much more integrated than the one in the S650 :giggle:
  9. What are your thoughts on the interior of the S650? Specifically the screens

Large central tach? It's all in the execution:
  10. What are your thoughts on the interior of the S650? Specifically the screens

:like: (I've also found that strangely it doesn't recognise commands like 'For fark sake!')
  11. What are your thoughts on the interior of the S650? Specifically the screens

I get it. You want everyone to be open minded and get on board with the new design as you have. No discord? Eradicate dissent? Hmmm...good luck I guess. Someone disagreeing with you isn't whining, but complaining about folks disagreeing with you about something objective probably is. Bit...
  12. What are your thoughts on the interior of the S650? Specifically the screens

Jeez...the anger. Interesting. Chill dude, no one needs to 'get over' their personal preference. Maybe get over being hypersensitive towards anyone who expresses a different view to yours. It's the future is it? Speaking (yelling?) with assumed authority on behalf of designers world wide? Of...
  13. What are your thoughts on the interior of the S650? Specifically the screens

Best thing for removing finger smudges on the S650 dash? Fire :like:
  14. Styling? Whats happening?

Half assed indeed. And of course...the Big Mac Give the people what they want and only those in the narrow margins will complain eg compulsive rock throwers and luddites. If it's hot...it's hot. Really good design is rarely very divisive. You're right of course, virtually everything...
  15. Styling? Whats happening?

And...? Actually, not strange at all on a list of...appearance items. You're saying - albeit not word for word - that the point of the list isn't valid because it only contains appearance items? I may be missing something but where was that? Noting of course the explicit statement to the...
  16. Styling? Whats happening?

You may be taking this too literally. It's not a right/wrong thing. Some just see the similarities differently but you see 2 so... :like: He didn't say that so you agree  Surely Ford deserves more credit. Here's one: short hood, pointy front end, unflared fenders (not to be confused...
  17. Styling? Whats happening?

Before overly sensitive folks - if the hat fits etc - see this as a criticism of the S650 and leap to its defence note that @Crayon made no observations about whether it does or doesn't look the same as the Gen 6 Camaro or any judgements about the S650. It's just 'a' comparison.
