There is a lot of "trunk money" in the cars that anyone outside of the GM or accounting management will never fully know.
And, sometimes some models are known to sell at a lower margin to make numbers.
When you login to the X plan Partner site there is a summary of how the program works. Go read that. The dealer is required to provide you the price sheet for review that shows the invoice, MSRP and plan pricing.
I think it's just a crapshoot with the dealer.
Mine asked me for nothing as far as proof goes. Hell, they didn't even care that I forgot my registration and proof of insurance at home when I cleaned out my trade the night before. :)
For GM supplier is model to model specific and some models are not honored under Supplier price. Supplier on a Chevy SS (Holden car) was like barely $1k off MSRP. On the 1LE I was looking at it was $2500 off. You can look them up and build the cars to see the Supplier and Employee pricing on...
It took awhile for me to get my cards for both MCA and EAA.
I was actually a little worried about the EAA card since I was using the extra $750 rebate for EAA members. My dealer never even asked me for the card. They took the printout of the PIN and the rebate for face value.
Now, this...
I wouldn't bother with Ford directly.
It's in the partner site and the language is clear. I trust that the dealer will be able to apply it at the time of delivery/sale.
What would suck is if everyone calling Ford and the MCA to try to match this deal gets the offer pulled prematurely for...
You can get the coupon after you sign up. You just have to click through to the fordpartner site and when you login with the EAA partner code the banner is right there in the middle of the bottom of the screen.
I got my certificate last week and verified this twice today for people here. It's...
See the column that says "PUT 'X' HERE" ? Put an "X" next to the options you want. That will fill in the pricing. Please clear them when you are done and read the entire sheet.
The expiration dates roll, so if you're not taking delivery soon it will likely expire before you get yours and would need a newer one. This is assuming they continue the program and don't start to exclude the model.
The only guys around here that said no were the ones that are asking for an added markup over MSRP.
These are the dealers you usually don't want to deal with anyway. One here had a Raptor on the showroom for $20k over MSRP. It sat there for a very long time. :)
Sounds like rip-off documentation fees.
It varies state by state if there are limits, in California it's $80, his profile says he's in Colorado which it seems has no limit to the attempt to gouge...
Unlikely to be a problem in my opinion and what I'm hearing from my local dealers. Ford has a reimbursement schedule that is included in the plans so the dealer isn't losing out. Trying to negotiate a discount without qualifying for one of the plans will probably be much harder if they sell...
