  1. Official: 2025 Mustang GTD Revealed! 800+ HP 5.2L V8, Pushrod Suspension, $300K MSRP

The GT to won at Sebring, the 24-hour at Daytona, and at the 24-hour Le Mans (against Ferrari's V8s and the V8 Corvettes). Whether 8-cylinders makes for a better or more inspiring engine depends on whether it wins or not, and that is TBD for the GTD. Hopefully, it will do well.
  2. Official: 2025 Mustang GTD Revealed! 800+ HP 5.2L V8, Pushrod Suspension, $300K MSRP

This is not a Mustang. It is a Ford GT replacement, (one not nearly as good looking.). JMO
  3. Smaller, Lighter Mustang?

I would like to see Ford produce a Mustang on the order of a Mazda Miata. I looked at a Mazda Miata hardtop in Desert Sand at a dealership--there is a lot to like about such a car. However, money is probably the reason Ford will not produce such a product. Although the Ford ICE operations are...
  4. Would anyone like to see Ford use the 7.3L Godziila V8 in a Mustang, resurrecting the Boss 429?

It doesn't seem likely, that Ford would stick the 7.3L in a production Mustang. The V8 Mustang might be a dying breed, thanks to government regulation.:frown: However, if the Boss name is to be resurrected, my preference would be to create a Boss 351. It has a Mustang history (1971, a 351/5.8L...
  5. Mustang Panel Alignment Problems

My humble apologies. Perhaps you are right--but by your rationale, gregs24 response to my OP was also wrong. His post contained no mention of QA or panel gaps. Gregs24 responded with to my OP with comments on Ford's lagging electrification efforts and partnership with VW and mention of EU...
  6. Mustang Panel Alignment Problems

I get it. You didn't like the post. It runs counter to your view--so go away.
  7. Mustang Panel Alignment Problems

Uh, yeah--Ford didn't just this year (or last year) start dumping money into EVs. This isn't the first time (or the first century) the auto industry and specifically, Ford has gone the route of electrification. If you know automotive history, Henry Ford's friend Thomas Edison started...
  8. Mustang Panel Alignment Problems

I was stuck in traffic today, and I happened to think of this thread. I was behind a Bently Flying Spur. Coming up behind the car, the panel gaps in the rear looked perfect--though my eyesight isn't what it used to be. I'd wager you'd need a micrometer to measure any variance. Craftsmanship...
  9. Wonder why Ford didn't develop all-new Mustang?

I have little interest in EVs at present. The current batteries are too expensive, too heavy, and too toxic to the environment. The insurance cost is high--since a replacement battery in some cases cost more than the value of the used vehicle. Any damage to the battery in an accident often...
  10. Wonder why Ford didn't develop all-new Mustang?

Ford Projects $3 Billion Loss on EV Segment This Year (msn.com) The S650 may be a significant refresh of the Mustang, but it isn't an all-new vehicle. Whether or not that is disappointing depends on a subjective viewpoint. A few years ago, the plans may have been to introduce a new Mustang...
  11. Would anyone like to see Ford use the 7.3L Godziila V8 in a Mustang, resurrecting the Boss 429?

The only way to resurrect the Boss 429 is with a Jon Kaase Boss Nine--otherwise you're flogging a dead horse.
  12. Would You Consider a Smaller Foxbody Inspired Mustang?

Straw man arguments always seem to start with, "So, what you're saying is..." There is no mention of an F-150 in my post, or a suggestion that Ford should make nothing else. Own them or not, those are your words, not mine. However, you are right--the F-150 is the best ROI for Ford and has been...
  13. Would You Consider a Smaller Foxbody Inspired Mustang?

You don't think Ford should limit themselves to making cars that produce the best ROI--I don't think Ford stockholders would agree with that sentiment. I pointed out, Ford doesn't want to make a huge investment in design, engineering, and facilities to produce a low-cost product line to sell 10K...
  14. Why not vent on Ecoboost hood?

It just occurred to me, the entry level Mustang does not have a vented hood. I am wondering why. The reason I ask, my MazdaSpeed3 could develop some serious heat. It would seem the Ecoboost Mustang would benefit as much (or more) from a vented hood design as any N.A V8 (i.e. the GT). The...
  15. Would You Consider a Smaller Foxbody Inspired Mustang?

I understand the appeal. I just don't see the ROI for Ford. https://carfigures.com/us-market-brand/toyota/gr86 GR86 US sales for US. Make a cost justification to develop a new product line, (figure in a new assembly line, since its a unique platform) for 10K sales.
  16. Would You Consider a Smaller Foxbody Inspired Mustang?

I understand the rationale behind smaller, lighter, faster argument, I just don't think it plays well in the current market. Auto manufacturers cannot afford to ignore market demand. I think it's a non-starter for the Mustang. After all, look how well the smaller, lighter, faster ideology worked...
  17. Build your own Custom 2024 Mustang S650 NOW on my builder!

The renders are excellent. JMHO, the Ecoboost looks like the cleanest version of the S650. I think the GT isn't bad but the Dark Horse front clip doesn't appeal. Perhaps seeing the actual vehicle might change my mind.
