  1. Dark horse HP winter tire question (275/35/19s-F, 285/35/19s-R)

As requested, here’s a few pics, as well as a side-by-side of the front tires off (305s next to the 275s). I ended up going Michelin 4S All Seasons, 275/35/19s-F, 285/35/19s-R, factory rims. Still some poke as you can see from the pictures, factory HP DH rims definitely are more exposed but...
  2. Michelin PS4S Cracked and Ruined!

I’ve never run PS4S, but I’ve run Sport Cup 2s on both a PP2 and Shelby in Midwest winters. When temps got below 40F, those tires were like hockey pucks as others have said. Literally like driving a Fred Flintstone car until the tires warmed up. I know this doesn’t answer your question, just...
  3. A few helpful links for wheel/tire decision-making

Disregard, I see these links throughout. Happy tire shopping!
  4. A few helpful links for wheel/tire decision-making

If these have already been posted my apologies for the churn, but here’s a few helpful websites I found as I researched tires/wheel combos: Tirerack (I did find some circumference errors, but accurate for the most part, as well as in depth tire reviews, testing, etc): https://www.tirerack.com/...
  5. Battleship Grey Wheel Kit (Ford Performance) Now Available

I agree 100%, would look bad ass!
  6. Dark horse HP winter tire question (275/35/19s-F, 285/35/19s-R)

Sincerely appreciate all the replies ya’ll. Just waiting on base DH rims to come in now, the tires are aready waiting on me at the shop. I’m just hoping I don’t have any fitment, weird cruise control (due to ride height) or odd handling issues (I can’t imagine I would, as I see several people...
  7. Dark horse HP winter tire question (275/35/19s-F, 285/35/19s-R)

Midway you’re 100% correct, I should have been more clear—the tire is .4-.5 inches taller, I was referring to sidewall and ride height. That is .2 inches per tire.
  8. Dark horse HP winter tire question (275/35/19s-F, 285/35/19s-R)

Update—so here’s what I went with after much deliberation, FWIW: I purchased a second set of rims for the winter, found OEM dark horse base model black satin rim package on sale with tire sensors/install kit included. 19x9.5 front, 19x10 rear. Offset is exactly the same in rear as my DH HP...
  9. Dark horse HP winter tire question (275/35/19s-F, 285/35/19s-R)

Thanks for the reply. I can get both the 275 and 285s I listed above in within 1-3 days at my local tire shop, actually $100 off for a Black Friday sale. I would actually prefer to do the inverse—save the ridiculously sticky Trofeos and put them on a lightweight track rim for track days, and...
  10. Dark horse HP winter tire question (275/35/19s-F, 285/35/19s-R)

Bad on me, I’ll take some and post!
  11. Dark horse HP winter tire question (275/35/19s-F, 285/35/19s-R)

Hi All, first time poster here. I spent a few hours reading all the wheel/tire set-up threads here, very interesting but also overwhelming seeing all the different set-ups folks run in the winter. I’m running into the same problem as many—my ideal tire choices simply do not have a...
