Does the 12v power to your dash cam stay on for 1hr+ after shutting off the car?

Thanks for the reply bimmerborn, but I've heard that people with Performance pack which had the usb on mirror has the same issue which the dash stays on for 1hr+ I will look into your suggestion, thanks

Hey guys happy holidays! I have a base 2024 gt and I just installed dash cam using 12v outlet and noticed when I shut off the car, the 12v stays on for 2 plus hours. I'm not sure if this is normal and if it is, won't this drain my battery? I mean I would HATE to manually turn off/on my dash cam...

I thought I was the only one who thought about what you mentioned. I'm still debating if I should just pull the trigger. Any issues with leak?
