Yeah, they fed me the same line when I brought it in to get the trim piece repaired (that their tint guy cut).. took a call directly to the GM to get them to fix it.. and it took an hour
Honestly...
I'm going to ask them exactly what it is they can and can't fix in this car tomorrow. Who...
The irony of it is that the shop manual you can buy for $2k actually specifies permatex for this type of repair.
That they can do it without making it look like they finger painted the interior of my car would be my next concern.
Oh well, will be taking with them in person tomorrow to see...
Here's a fun one.. After a couple attempts at fixing the tint on my 2024 convertible,
1. the tint guy cut the beltline trim piece with a razor (fixed after much complaining to the dealership)
2. The rear window defroster only partly works as it was likely damaged by their tint guy.
They say...
I just installed the DAR no- drill decklid spoiler..
Pro-tip: when installing, align the spoiler with the trunk cracked open.. the edges of the back trunk lid provide a sharper guide to align by than eyeballing the curves.
Well, I have good news..
Took a little bit of back and forth, but the dealership sorted it out without dropping the top.
Work took maybe 2 hours.
They lent me a Mach e as well - hella fast (but too quiet ;p)
Now I just need to get the tint redone.
Honestly, every shop I've talked to uses...
If only...
It was the dealership's tint guy, and the service manager commented (rather glibly IMO) that it would require dropping the top and it'll never be the same again.
So while I send them back to come back with better options including buying it back, I thought I'd see if there's a way...
I've just recently received my new 'vert, but the tint guy cut into the rear moulding on the outside of the rear quarter glass window.
I'm working with the dealership to get this resolved, but while researching, I couldn't find any information on how to remove that whole piece from the car. So...
