I got MBRP catback exhaust system that designed to replace the stock system directly, so no welding was needed. I believe products from Corsa or Borla can also be installed by tightening clamps. I strongly recommend getting a drone-free exhaust system like Corsa or Borla, even if it costs more...
@MAT1955 You can get the Y-harness for mustangs with AE and two OEM actuators, then install them, but you'll need ECU mapping to make them work. I didn't want to do mapping just for a new exhaust system, so I bought a remote control exhaust actuator from AliExpress, installed it, and used it.
No, I didn't use any OEM parts from Ford. I purchased the actuators from Aliexpress, and the control unit was also bought from Aliexpress. I hard-wired the power through the fuse box, and everything operates with the remote control provided by the seller.
Like the guy above, what I did was getting actuators and control units from Aliexpress, then install them and operate the actuators with a remote controller. If you know how to do hard wiring, I recommend buying a system that operates with a push-button instead of a remote control.
Hi all,
I want to hard wire my radar detector to the BCM fuse box, but I'm not sure how to access it. For the Mustang S550, I found I can pull the left side of the panel to release it from the clips and then lift it up to access. This methodology doesn't seem to work for the S650 model. The...
After many attempts, just found a way to control the exhaust actuator. I hope it will be helpful for someone trying to retrofit active exhaust.

Just found pin 4 PWM negative is not needed
Yeah I did. I’ve already looked into the as-built data for non-AE VIN and VIN with AE, and I used Forscan to make them match, but the AE functionality isn’t working(It showed up on SYNC but that's about it) I changed lines in the modules follow:
Instrument Panel Control (IPC)

I've tried to retrofit AE so far. I got all OEM parts like actuators, harnesses, its connectors and full active valve exhaust that retains OEM AE system, but there is no way to add AE to PCM at the moment. I asked many Ford techs and was told that FDRS ,aka Ford Diagnostic...
Yes you are right. I also think we are missing something more on Forscan. However, I've compared all the address between mine and one with AE but I didn't find significant difference but PCM since Forscan doesn't have an access to it.

As far as...
If you find anything can remote the valve flip and it’s remote control, you can install and use. For me, I don’t want to have that 3rd party controller. What did your dealer said ? I talked to ford service and they said their programming tech can reprogram the ECU modules but no guaranty since...
Yes. It seems we have to work on the ECU that is locked at the moment. I've contacted Ford service if they can provide reprogramming and they said they can't guarantee but they can reprogram my ecu. I will get more details about this tomorrow like what modules they will work on or if they will...
I appreciate your assistance but I've tried to find the diff on blocks. I didn't find anything. please see the link below. This is what I worked on before

Ended up with nothing so far. Installed the full exhaust system with actuators and their harnesses, AE doesn’t work on the system. I will try to find how to make it work tomorrow. My guess is I only changed some codes on instrument panel module so PCM doesn’t know it has active exhaust. I...

Since we have limited information about S650, @roket has a concern that the reprogramming I did might cause system crashes if SYNC were to be updated. He recommended me turning off automatic updates to avoid this. Unfortunately, I forgot to disable automatic updates, but...
Hi guys,
I am trying to retrofit ae to mine and looking for vin to find their as-built module. It would be great if anyone could get me the VIN!
thanks
