  3. Front inner wheel well issues

To remove the gravel you have to remove a number (at least 6 iirc) of screws (9/32" hex heads) holding the front of the belly pan that extends rearward behind the front tire. Then gently pull it down a bit and bang your palm against it. Most of the gravel will fall out. There will likely also...
  4. Front inner wheel well issues

If you want it to be removable I might suggest using pop rivets and a silicon sealant. But then you would be left with a number of small hole. I don't know how hard it would be to pry off if the body panel epoxy was used. I imagine it would either pop loose of the filler panel and leave the...
  5. Front inner wheel well issues

Rivets are definitely an option. Here is a photo of the panel installed and lightly coated with Rustoleum truck bed coating spray. All the best, Hein
  6. Front inner wheel well issues

I love 3M VHB double sided tapes but I don't think it would hold in this application. The panel and liner can be drilled for some small pop rivets as some of the previous posts and DIY solutions have suggested/used. But I would still use some sort of sealant/adhesive between the panel and liner...
  7. Front inner wheel well issues

Finally have a kit available. https://diyvan.com/products/2024-ford-mustang-fender-liner-hole-cover-panels-kit Spent lots of hours tweaking 3D CAD model and running test parts to optimize the fit. Parts are printed on our in-house MarkForged industial quality 3D printer using their Onyx micro...
  8. Front inner wheel well issues

If you have been following this thread then you know that I have been working on 3D printed parts to cover the hole. I am using Ford 3D OEM CAD data as the basis for my design work. The production parts are not always exactly the same as the CAD models. Especially when it comes to vacuum formed...
  9. Hello from Discount Tire!!!

I am considering purchase of the Michellin Pilot Sport 4 for our GT Premium. (sizes 275/40ZR19 105Y XL GOE BSW and 255/40R19 100Y XL ★ BSW) I too have purchased 100s of tires from Discount Tire but recent wheel damage and inability to properly balance tires for our 3500 Sprinter van has me...
  10. Front inner wheel well issues

It will be a while before I can tool up for a vacuum formed part so released the 3D printed versions to shapeways.com. I have a couple on order so will verify fit when they arrive early February. https://www.shapeways.com/shops/impactproducts [Edit] we have decided to run these parts in...
  11. Front inner wheel well issues

Extended the part 6-8mm around the perimeter which will overlap OEM liner. Modeled up the vacuum forming buck for making both RH and LH parts. Need to CNC it and then form some parts out of ABS or Kydex. These will then be CNC trimmed. Intent is to bond them to the surrounding surfaces of OEM...
  12. Front inner wheel well issues

Agree that hand forming ABS would work but is a somewhat complicated shape. We can 3D print these but the best manufacturing would be vacuum forming. We have ability to do that as well. All the best. Hein DIYvan
  13. Front inner wheel well issues

not yet. still have some design/CAD work to do. All the best, Hein DIYvan
  14. Front inner wheel well issues

That's what I have in mind: Possibly these: https://www.clipsandfasteners.com/product-p/a21780.htm or these: https://www.clipsandfasteners.com/GM-Ford-Fascia-Retainer-15mm-Hd-Dia-23mm-Lgth-p/a17103.htm both would require drilling holes into the existing liner. How do you all feel about that...
  15. Front inner wheel well issues

So after many hours of 3D surface modeling with Ford CAD data I have a piece that fits. It's 2.5mm thick. Can 3D print these but not sure how to attach it yet. Guess I could add some tabs and then use little screws but not sure that would hold up to rocks, snow, slush, bits of rubber, etc...
  16. Attn: Aftermarket Companies - you can make this!

I cut some 1" thick closed cell foam blocks to lightly wedge in behind on both sides of where the holes are. Then covered with 4" cloth electrical tape after spraying surrounding surfaces with 3M 90 adhesive. Then I lightly coated the tape with some Rustoleum truck bed coating. I'll follow up...
