Save your money and upgrade the stock system. The non-B&O system in the Mustang is far better than I expected.
I heard the B&O in the Mustang, and it was not all that, but it is better than the 9 speaker system. That said, the 9 speaker system is far easier to upgrade than the B&O system...
There is some truth to the N/A motor being superior in overall engine life; however, several of Ford's ecoboost motors have made a convert of me...
Notably my 3.5 first gen ecoboost in my 2011 F-150 has 250k miles without any major issues and my 2.7 engine in my 2021 Bronco has 86k problem...
I was going 65 mph the other day and it was saying that I was averaging over 35 mpg steady state on a flat road... I was shocked.
The Ecoboost Mustang is getting better gas mileage than the Honda CR-V EX-L that was traded in on the Mustang (it's the girlfriend's car).
It's the iconic battle every day in my garage... Ford vs Ferrari. Both cars have their place in my garage (along with the 6g Bronco which has been amazing).
I am just your average bargain hunting guy. I really love the Ferrari, but only can afford it by doing all the work myself. Monetarily, not rich, not poor - just average.
I posted it because no one should feel like their ability to afford or not afford a GT is a measure of their value/worth...
The Mustang B&O system is far and away better than the Bronco B&O system, however, if I wanted to upgrade the audio in a B&O Mustang, I would probably talk to MoBridge about the integrated DSP and Amp they have for Ford applications which require taking the A2B output and amplifying it. On...
The GT was just too much engine for the girlfriend and she's the primary person driving it.
I really don't care if anyone says that I couldn't afford the 5.0, because I was able to afford the 3.5... LOL.
Absolutely, the 2.3 Ecoboost Mustang is definitely faster than my 2.7 Bronco, which is no slouch at 6.5s 0-60 and 14.5 in the 1/4 mile. The 2.3 Ecoboost Mustang is definitely faster... Plus imagine a teenager with a 2.3 Ecoboost and a drift brake... LOL. What could go wrong?
It does get...
Looking at the Forum (and I am not shocked) but there seems to be very little for us with the Ecoboost Mustang.
With the performance package, it's rather shockingly good. It's never going to run down the GT in a straight line, but it's an absolute hoot to drive and really handles far better...
Well my girlfriend decided it was time to join the Mustang club... The GT (her opinion) was a little too much car for her... But the Ecoboost performance package was right up her alley.
