I’ve driven them in 24 degree weather once, 30-40 a few times. No damage to them whatsoever.. However, anything under 40 degrees, it’s going to spin in 1st / 2nd gear. At 50+ they’ll grip. The recommended 45+ is spot on, tho you can drive them lower, no prob.
Mine does this too. It comes alive up top tho in Track. I think track is more for higher RPM ranges. You won’t enjoy it around town. That’s what Sport mode is for. Sport mode is amazing. Track may be good for drag racing also tho, where traction is an issue.. what it lacks at low RPM, it makes...
I’ve owned my 24 GT PP since September 21st now and I can tell you 100%, restrictions or not, my car runs MUCH better with the more miles put on it. I didn’t even get on the car once within the first 500 miles. Well, I think I went WOT at 496 miles lol, but same difference. And I’m telling you...
The stock pads my PP came with perform great. They just emit too much dust for me. My wheels are ceramic coated and have 2 heavy coats and they’re cleaning up great, but still, it looks like shit and dirties up the wheels and car. I don’t need a better performing pad. Just something equal.
Yeah...
You could still go with a ceramic pad or pads that emit less dust. That’s really the only concern I have also. These OEM brake pads stop and perform amazing, they just put out too much dust for me. I’m OCD and my car has to stay clean. If I were you, I’d still look into it unless the dust isn’t...
Part of me thinks they’re the same as the 2023’s. They sell the brembo brake kit that works on both so the pads should too I’m guessing. These OEM pads are killing me. I’m EASY on braking and it just smokes the wheels in dust. Thankfully they’re coated.
I’ve seen a lot of people running PowerStop but I always thought they were a cheaper brand. Maybe they’re like Kia and started making better products! I wish Hawk offered some. Figured they would by now.
But yes, dirty wheels piss me off because I spent 2 days prepping and ceramic coating them...
Funny you say that. Akebono brake pads are made in my home town of Elizabethtown, KY. That location will be closing down in 2025, unfortunately. Just heard during my last vacation there in October.
As you probably know, the OEM brake pads for the Brembo’s emit dust like it’s their sole purpose in life. My wheels are coated and easy to clean but still, I’m not going to put up with all the dust.
I tried looking for aftermarket pads such as Hawk’s Ceramic pads, and haven’t found anything out...
I’d like them to fix the delay on the Mustang or my favorites button after start up. When I hit that after start up, it takes 15-30 seconds to come up.
Yeah that makes sense then. I’ve had a UPR catch can on it for 2,000 miles now (installed at 500 miles), and I emptied it this morning. It wasn’t even 10% full. Just barely enough to cover the bottom of the can. I also opened up her airways *wink wink*.
give it some time. I own a 24 GT Premium Performance Pack also and I’m pretty damn sure it runs WAY better now that it has over 2k miles on it. I didn’t get on it much when it was under 500 miles. Which I achieved with a 400 mile round trip. Then took it to KY, which was a 1,600 mile round trip...
Just ordered the Steeda Full Length Jacking Rails (shown above in pictures thanks to krisk). Will install them in 2 weeks and post up some pictures and thoughts!
thanks for the info! I guess I’m going to order those ones for mine. They look really nice installed. I see Steeda has them on their side 2015-2024 now, so I’m going to get those on the way.
