Regarding online tracking, about five weeks ago my tracker has moved to production scheduled week of 12/07. It later got bumped up to 11/27. Then a week after the scheduled production date I got an email from Ford that said they had run into supply chain issues and production was delayed. The...
That live picture makes me feel a whole lot better! I had wanted the 20" silver rims, but at the time I ordered my car those were on constraint. I will still end up replacing my standard wheels, but at least these are not as dark as I feared.
I agree that we are still fighting many headwinds when it comes to supply shortages, transportation issues and etc.
I have never been able to wrap my head around this whole allocation issue, but I think the dealership does make a difference. I was able to complete my order over the phone plus...
It probably helped that mine was just a GT Premium, with only three options - auto trans, 401a & active exhaust. None of those options were ever in short supply, as far as I know.
In contrast, I ordered my GT Premium on 8/23 and received an update a few weeks ago that my order status had been changed to "scheduled week of 12/11". I received a VIN and tracking link. Since then, the build schedule has been moved up twice and is now week of 11/27. Doesn't mean car is built...
Not sure how my reply post to your post ended up as a double post reply to somebody else's post. But, I'm sorry to see how things ended for your last Mustang. I'm sure it was "fixable" in absolute terms. But it is probably true that it would ever have been quite the same. Hope your new Mustang...
It wasn't my first sports car, but I had an '83 Toyota Celica GTS for several years. It was the last sports that I bought new. I loved that car. It was also the only red car I ever owned, until I take delivery of my new Mustang.
Wheels! The 20" silver wheels were on constraint when I ordered my GT Premium. After that, suspension mods because I just couldn't justify the $5k for the PP, and I didn't really like those wheels either.
I like seeing the responses that have people replacing there Mustangs for another one! And I'm kind of getting the impression that Mustangs are quite the aftermarket mod car. Which is good, sense I'm not really ending up with exactly what I wanted.
True story, my original plan a couple of years ago was to get a 2019 Grand Sport to replace my Z06. But the price bubble really hit the Vette market and I just couldn't justify paying original sticker for a used car. So, I bailed on that plan. Do you have a production date for your DH yet?
I wish I could have found what I wanted already on a lot. Ordering was pretty stressful. But, now that I have a production commitment and a VIN, I am much less stressed.
Inspired by threads with different main topics, I thought it would be interesting to see what cars people are replacing with their new Mustang and why?
I have a 2003, Corvette Z06 that I will be selling soon. Other than being 20 years old, with only 30k miles on it, there's nothing wrong with...
So, the optics of "top brass" getting bonuses and such at Ford might play to the average rank and file worker. But, if 186 top brass managers got $500k bonuses each, that equates to $500 for each rank and file employee. It just isn't an apples to apples comparison. A fifty percent raise is...
