Has anyone here removed the rear view mirror cover to tap into a 12v source for a mirror mounted radar detector and if so, how? Is there a video somewhere? Google didn't find anything for it.
Glad I saw this thread as I just noticed this noise today. The car only has 400 miles on it but it's the first day when it was warm enough to have the windows opened.
Mine were installed by the dealer but I took them off right away as I hate locking lug nuts. The standard lug nuts and wheel lock were in the trunk. I don't park in places where my wheels are going to get stolen. The only time it'd be good to use them is if you're traveling and the car's parked...
Definitely get the active exhaust. In quiet mode, it's not super quiet like a normal car but it's less loud than without it.
My wife doesn't appreciate the loud exhaust so it helps but I told her that she's going to have to get use to it, lol.
Being that the standard GT is rated at 486 hp with the active exhaust and is approved by Ford to handle the Whipple supercharger with a warranty, I wouldn't worry about it unless you're planning to go with over 1000 hp or more. Many people driving older modded 5.0s without engine problems.

Call your dealership. Mine is also loaded, ordered 8/22 and was originally scheduled for 1/22. Didn't have a VIN either so I contacted my dealership, they checked, got my VIN and now it's scheduled production date is 12/16 so sooner than expected.
Ordered 8/22, received email that it's scheduled to build 1/22 so exactly 5 months. Grabber blue GT Premium AT, 355, black seats, 401, PP, active exhaust, loaded.
Having worked in dealerships for over 40 years, I can tell you that it doesn't work that way, not that easy. There are procedures that have to be followed, which has been mentioned above.
So, if your wipers are in auto sensing, you open your hood to check something but it starts raining.....you're Fd? Really? I'd consider that to be a design flaw.
I could see that damage happening if the wiper arms were up, away from the glass and the hood opened but not when the blades are...
