Didn't know adaptive LED were illegal in the USA. What do you mean by HID? HID = xenons were 2015-2017 iirc, 2018+ has full LED headlights. I most definitely don't have Xenons in my Mach 1 but full LED. And it shows in the night immensely.
Order guide says too: "LED Headlamps with Configurable...
It's different because S197 was quite retro. The classic halogen headlights did get obsolete and objectively worse in function. (Round shape headlights however did not as clearly that works great on Challenger.) How do S550 and S650 LED lights differ? I find the S550 LED spectacular in the night...
New trendy headlights = dated? Not at all. They're not even laser, just same LED in different look. It just matches current style language, see lights of BMW or Audi or Bugatti Chiron... So yeah, it's copy-pasta.
Modern look sells so it doesn't matter if us S550 owners like it or not.
It doesn't matter at all, it was discussed re: GT350 brakes before, M1 has one of the shortest braking distance in tests in all cars. It brakes and brakes and brakes without fading, even on the track there's been no complaints. Unless you're serious tracker and then things can be improved in...
Miniscule improvements yes because it would take a lot of effort to actually improve things. Improved suspension in a GT PP should have been there from day one so people don't need to go to aftermarket. Yeah, coolers are not needed for people who don't track, I guess.
If the improvements were...
Indeed. Now imagine 75 kg driver with 10 liters in the tank vs 120 kg driver with full tank 65 liters. That's 100 kg (220 lbs) difference which is huge. Then again full tank and a passanger in the rear could easily cause best traction on the rear wheels 😁
Yeah, right, because of 20 hp more? Performance in straight line will be very similar, type of transmission being the biggest factor. It's not like 0.1 sec diff in acceleration is meaningful on normal road.
Now are you saying that S650 GT PP has performance and endurance of Mach 1 on the track...
Gotta agree here, why should new generation look drastically different? They got it right with S550 so they just tweaked it a bit to make it different enough (even too much for me, haha). 911 is nice example that when it's great, keep it that way.
Except they are fully comparable, Mach 1/PP2 vs 1SS 1LE. 1LE has 285/30 tires front, 305/30 rear and other chassis improvements meant for track. Endurance (coolers) aside, their handling is definitely comparable, as Randy Probst showed.
Something you'll learn to tolerate, other things you'll learn to love. The headlights are not ugly, they're just very different, new, similar to what everyone else is using now. Really, the exteriour is fine. Engine is more than fine. The only thing tough to swallow will be the big display...
Yeah, they are very different in execution, not so much in the elements however (top grille, bottom grille, functional side vents, ribs next to them). Main difference is retro look vs ultra-sleek modern look. And the headlights only emphesize that. They kinda stopped playing the retro card and...
Ugly faux lights? Hey, they are great. 2013-14 Boss also had them. It's not like Dark Horse isn't copying RTR grille, right? (and I never liked that grille tbh). The lower section of the DH's front is very similar to Mach 1 with openings for additional coolers (which just copies GT350). Overall...
Interesting, didn't know about this. I'll take folding mirrors over BLIS then, considering how narrow our parking spots are... But then again having there 2 wires would be trivial...
This is what press release mentions about it (no stripes, haha):

Your choices are lot bigger, there's no other V8 sold here in Europe, really. Only Lexus for 50% more. Even Mach 1 cost me over $85k, you could buy GT500 in USA for that money... Here it would cost $150k, too much for me, hence why I didn't go for 911 either. V8 in retro style is home, end of...
I'd take it as a daily car in a heartbeat (but not for almost 80k€ it costs here). In daily I would not care about looks much, just function and cheap charging that I have at home. But when you buy a Mustang and want to keep it for 50 years, you think differently. But that checkbox has already...
