New trendy headlights = dated? Not at all. They're not even laser, just same LED in different look. It just matches current style language, see lights of BMW or Audi or Bugatti Chiron... So yeah, it's copy-pasta. Modern look sells so it doesn't matter if us S550 owners like it or not.

Indeed. Now imagine 75 kg driver with 10 liters in the tank vs 120 kg driver with full tank 65 liters. That's 100 kg (220 lbs) difference which is huge. Then again full tank and a passanger in the rear could easily cause best traction on the rear wheels 😁

Gotta agree here, why should new generation look drastically different? They got it right with S550 so they just tweaked it a bit to make it different enough (even too much for me, haha). 911 is nice example that when it's great, keep it that way.
