Yes sir! I was comparing the Boss 302S which was also not street legal, but it did have a (Gen 2?) coyote with all forged internals and a tremec, like the Darkhorse S will have a Gen 4 coyote with forged interals and a tremec.
I felt that this was a closer comparison than the FP350S as that car...
As far as I know, it is not time to put a deposit down….. I called my dealer and told them to call me when it’s time.
I am willing to listen is someone else has an opinion or more experience in this situation. This is what im hoping for with this thread…. That we can all work together and share...
I know nothing of the ordering process for an "S" model or pricing for previous "S" models. I did see a Boss 302S on BaT that sold right around 90k.... so to pay $120 for a new and updated factory built track car in a Dark Horse S? Still has be salivating.
So I did not see a thread going specific to getting a Dark Horse on order. Personally, with the limited info available and YouTube conjecture.... I'm aiming for a Dark Horse S. I was looking at Boss 302s but the Dark Horse S seems to follow that formula.... Coyote with forged internals, Tremec...
My wild guess would be a return of the Boss. Early in the S650 lifecycle with a road capable Boss 302(ish) hopefully with side exit exhaust.
Then later as the finale for the S650… 7.3 in a Boss 429(ish)
I believe we have seen the last of the ICE Shelby variants.
Again… just my wild guess.
Just joined up! My HEP R is my first ever Mustang. I didn’t expect it to become a trend but I’m tempted to add a second pony to the stable… S197 Boss 302 or S650…. Depending on engine and transmission option that will be available. Now to go down the rabbit hole and read all the rumor mill posts!
