  1. Official: Mustang GTD laps Nurburgring in 6:57.685

We could argue if the time is fast or not but consider the fact that S550 was the best selling sports car in Germany for the whole existence of the model 7 years in a row. No BMW, Porsche, Ferrari, Lambo etc can say that. Now the Mustang is the only American car to be faster around the...
  2. Mustang GTD documentary coming Dec. 10th

C8 Z06 posted a lap time of 7:10 in the hands of a non pro driver with a lot of safety in the lap. You think a C8 ZR1 wouldn't be 13 seconds faster on a 20.8 km track with twice the horespower and better transmission and aero ?
  3. Mustang GTD documentary coming Dec. 10th

They released 13 minutes video with nothing but Driver excuses it wasn't the weather the driver who was not driving since June and only driving the ring on a Simulator to the engine cutting. For me the braking performance of that car is sub par by a country mile.
  4. Mustang GTD documentary coming Dec. 10th

The brake zones were very slow that car spend a lot of time on the brakes. I really can't understand why this is an issue on a 400 000$ car. Why Ford undersize brakes for 800 HP track car is beyond me.
  5. 2024 Dark Horse Mustang Dyno Results (6-Speed Manual) - by Middleton Motorsports

because if they do they will ruin sales for all this "special models" ones customers realise that the Base GT that is lighter is faster on the 1/4 mile than the "special models" that are pigs.
  6. EU deliveries sooner than expected?

knowing dealers in Germany I wouldn't count on big discounts for S650's :)
  7. EU deliveries sooner than expected?

To be fair I bought my 2017 Mustang GT from Germany and with shipping and why not fully loaded it come to exactly 40 000 euro. Granted this was in 2019 when the new model was introduced. I spend another 11 000 euro in mods and performance wise (-tremac and cooling) my car is on par lap for lap...
  8. EU deliveries sooner than expected?

But the Mach 1 doesn't have the Torsen right ? If so this is very exciting.
  9. EU deliveries sooner than expected?

You sure about the Torsen Diff this should be a first EU Mach 1's I think run normal track-loc ?
  10. Magneride various calibration configurations

Check out Steeda and others custom Magneride controllers ;)
  11. S650 with PP for Track Days

-oil cooler -5W50/0W40 oil -better trans oil as well -Braided Clutch Line if it's a Manual -Better Clutch (McLeod RST) if it's a Manual -Braided Brake Lines as well. this should be bare minimum in terms of keeping it safe on track.
  12. To the Road Course (Buttonwillow track) with the 2024 Mustang GT - Overheating and Clutch Issues Aplenty!

There is a huge difference between a novice in a stock car and an experience track going guy with lot's of mods as with Base GT if you put suspension tires etc on it you will overheat the Motor/Trans faster your diff will work less as you get more grip from suspension, tires. Which is what the...
  13. To the Road Course (Buttonwillow track) with the 2024 Mustang GT - Overheating and Clutch Issues Aplenty!

do you track your car ? On my local track it's very short track just 2 km's with lot's of slow corners and lot's of acceleration at hot temps 86F+ the things that got hot are in that order: CHT temps, then brakes than trans. One lap on a A10 Mach 1 was enough to get same CHT temps as a gen 2...
  14. To the Road Course (Buttonwillow track) with the 2024 Mustang GT - Overheating and Clutch Issues Aplenty!

they didn't even do full laps they entered on one end of the track and exited before the lap finish. So yeah DH is fine if you drive it for half a lap :D
  15. To the Road Course (Buttonwillow track) with the 2024 Mustang GT - Overheating and Clutch Issues Aplenty!

I highly doubt the will not overheat part. Stock Mach 1 was doing same CHT temps as my GT when pushed. So if you push for more laps eventually you will reach limp mode hanse the reason why Dark Horse R has all the coolers replaced. A lot of mods are needed to keep a Coyote cold on track.
  16. 2024 Dark Horse Motortrend Review: We didn’t expect it to break a MotorTrend performance record

"Making its way around our figure-eight course in 23.7 seconds at a 0.86 g average proves it has legitimate track skills (any performance under 24.0 seconds is seriously quick). It held on to the corners at 1.06 g, only a couple hundredths behind the stickiest Shelby GT350Rs that we've tested...
  17. Official: 2025 Mustang GTD Revealed! 800+ HP 5.2L V8, Pushrod Suspension, $300K MSRP

The AMG GT is the base for the AMG GTR (the track car) that also have a AMG GTR Pro (even more track focused) and then an AMG GTR Black Series ($325,000) (this is the 730 hp track monster) that is the top standing AMG GT at the Nurburgring (6:43.616). Rumour has it that Ford benchmarked the GTD...
  18. Official: 2025 Mustang GTD Revealed! 800+ HP 5.2L V8, Pushrod Suspension, $300K MSRP

It kind of looks hold back when you put it next to AMG Black Series or 992 GT3 RS.
  19. Official: 2025 Mustang GTD Revealed! 800+ HP 5.2L V8, Pushrod Suspension, $300K MSRP

Considering the C8 Z06 is faster than an 911 GT3 RS around Willow Springs I could say you don't even have to wait for ZR1. Could someone be kind enough to create iPhone wallpapers for the GTD ?
  20. Official: 2025 Mustang GTD Revealed! 800+ HP 5.2L V8, Pushrod Suspension, $300K MSRP

GTD is GT Daytona the class in IMSA that is going to be replaced with GT3 in 2024. It also has connection with the Shelby Daytona from the past. Also it kind of make sense to name the Halo car that probably will be the last V8 Mustang Halo Car to a category that is going away. I really think we...
