I tried to justify my 2018 GT, talking about the excitement and fun filled nature of the car. But I never really warmed to it. It did nothing really well and when it was bad it was awful. I was happy when it went and wouldn't have another.
If Ford made the next Mustang a little titchy thing there is no way I'd buy one. There are plenty of squity little sports cars around to choose from.
Given a choice between a midget Mustang and a Jaguar I'd choose a Jaguar.
That is Jag, you, argh, not Jag, waar.
When Richard Hammond crashed the Rimac Concept_One electric car on The Grand Tour it caught fire. And burned for 5 days as one cell after another exploded.
Using the Mach 1 name for a fast, practical (good looking?) all electric car is a stroke of genius. The Mustang does not need to hog all of Ford's good names, just "Mustang" was enough to make the s550 the best selling sports car all over the world.
Tesla will not be happy at Ford firing back...
My Ford extended 5 year warranty on my 2018 will be up by 2023, just in time for the s650 refresh. I might order the Mustang in black this time (or a Jag!)
All those EV vehicles plugged into the grid can act as a giant electricity store. Already in the UK some EV owners are paid to supply electricity when there is high demand then charging the car when there is low demand and the electricity is cheap.
A massive storage potential would allow for...
If I enjoy my '18 I'll be looking forward to the s650 refresh in 2024 as it's replacement (if the s650 refresh looks mean enough).
If they make it self driving so it will bring me back from the pub so much the better.
The Mustang 2021 will not be a plug in hybrid but like the Prius have a battery and motor. This gives great mpg and additional torque. It will have gears and all the rest of the usual Mustangery. I just hope it has a real V8 rather than "V8 power".
The S650 will be ace. The best brains at Ford are on the job. But if you want a pure V8 old school, got it right first time design, then the 2015 S550 is a design icon.
