If they built a shopping trolley.
My wife's car to be, '21 Abarth 595 Competizione C (convertible). As she said, if I'm going to have silly car, I may as well go full crazy.
1 owner - the dealership owners Mother, 34,000kms. 180hp 1040kgs, Brembos, Bilstein handling pack, slippery diff...
OK, so I'm slow on the uptake.
But drag mode, wow! Found a quiet stretch of road and gave it a shot. Damn, that's fun, and vicious. I don't know why you'd need LC on this car, 10 metres of moderate wheelspin to keep it from bogging, a bit of spin going into 2nd and 3rd, and those shifts are...
This is great for those wanting a clear explanantion of track alignment and weighting set up. Despite it being on a GM product:sunglasses:
I'd not seen that type of alignment tool before, so I found that particularly interesting.
On the weekend road trip I got a chance to drive it through some twisty's in the wet. The other times were during running in or on motorways which don't tell you much.
I was surprised at the excellent steering feel, I could clearly feel the front tyres hitting greasy patches and giving clear...
This may interest some of you. It has got Shelby's in it.
It's on a public forestry road 80kms south of me. This definitely not Bonneville, check out the road.
I topped out my '87 325i there 30 years ago at 210kmh, and the road was not closed.
Fastest car - 321 kmh, bike - 369kmh. Note...
Jeez, talk about oil shocks.
98 is now $NZ3.55 litre and 95 is $NZ2.85. That's $US7.82 and $6.28 for a US gallon.
Still not stopping me from driving.
But our pathetic media are talking about carless days as in the late 70's when you could not drive one day a week.
Actually carless days were...
This was the last leg of our trip to see Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds.
I never thought I was buying an economy car.
That's about 27 mpg US, on our roads, on a busy holiday weekend, it's hard to believe.
On Monday we headed north to Aucklnd to catch up with friends, check out the new IKEA etc. We did a pitstop, actually pee stop my range is less than the car's these days, and as we headed off again an unmarked patrol car was just ahead of us. So it was a very legal drive from there. As we hit...
Came home yesterday from a few days away. I had the closest call ticket wise, I saw a slow truck entering a left hand sweeper ahead, caught up to him at the exit and gave Bonnie some beans to pass. I was doing about X25kmh ( 25 over the limit) and saw a parked cop that the truck had been hiding...
They've developed a self cleaning car.
On Wednesday I went to a local winery about 30kms away to stock up. I misread the clouds and got caught in a downpour, and in a line of traffic to boot.
I don't take the Mustang on short trips if it looks like rain, and I'd just washed it, so I was a tad...
Starting another elongated economy thread, I've just travelled up to Auckland to renew my passport, 500 kms return. I can't believe I averaged 10.1L per 100kms. That's 23.2 miles per every one of those tiny gallons you guys have in the US:). The best numbers yet.
This was not economy driving...
100 - 200kmh in 10.1 with only 446hp. Then our cars with 40hp more would be sub 10 secs which is not hanging around.
BTW. I think the car's really a '24.
I was quite impressed with my dealer. I asked them to physically check trans oil level, the Tech said he'd not seen one low out of quite a few Mustangs they'd done. So I said don't bother if they don't think it's needed. Then they did it anyway. All's well.
I'd asked for the car at 12, it was...
But it tickled my funny bone, had to share.
There was a guy who was a huge tractor enthusiast. He collected them, posters on his walls, went to tractor shows and competitions, went for rides whenever he could.
Then one day he fell off one, broke his leg and never got on a tractor again.
Some...
