Attaching the Gurney flap to a DH handling package spoiler

My Gurney flap came unattached in the trunk and I’d like to put it on, but there are no screws or bolts with the flap. There are 4 bolts screwed into the spoiler itself from the bottom that don’t seem to be holding anything on. Anybody know if these are supposed to be removed and then used to...

Are there rear shock shipping spacer blocks on the Dark Horse?

And does it make any difference on a handling package car? I know they show some on the PDI sheet and there’s a lot of talk about how the PDI chimps often leave the front ones in but I’ve never seen anybody mention the rears. If I could get down to check them myself I would. If anybody knows...

    ‘24-‘25 Dark Horse handling package

I saw in a couple of earlier threads where guys said some of the ā€˜24 DH HP items are now coming standard on the non-HP ā€˜25 DH. Nobody says exactly what those items are. Any idea?

Anybody intentionally NOT install the underbody strakes on their GT/PP or DH/HP?

Yes I saw where the poster measured 2-3/4ā€ clearance in this thread: https://www.mustang7g.com/forums/threads/side-bottom-air-deflectors-strikers.157999/ But I’m just wondering if in everyday real-world driving they significantly compromise ground clearance? Or, conversely do they improve...

Liked my Tremec DH so much I grabbed a 10R80 too

For when I’m having a bad knee day but more importantly so my wife can enjoy one too. This one is Carbonized and my six-speed is black. After seeing it the Carbonized is prettier than I thought it would be. Was kinda looking for another black but they aren’t exactly stacked up like cordwood if...

Do these rear DH wheel locks look right to you?

The rear wheel lock lugs on my DH stand about 3/8ā€ give or take proud of the other lugs. They seem tight and the car drives fine. But given that I’m a notorious over torquer I thought I’d ask before I started leaning on them. I don’t have a lot of faith in current PDI chimps. Itā€˜s a HP car if...

GTD lap at the Nurburgring full ride-along video

I know the ā€œmaking ofā€ video has been posted but until today I hadn’t seen the full ride-along only video. If you havenā€˜t seen it, here you go: Itā€˜s really amazing, and the sound is surreal! Finally, a Mustang even GT350 owners will probably admit sounds as good as their cars! Or not… I will...

    ‘24 DH build date

Can the actual build date of a new Mustang be determined from the window sticker? I’m attaching mine below. I see up top where it says ā€œblendā€œ but I’m not sure how to read the date and I don’t really know what blend means anyway. The mfg. data sticker on the door jamb reads 10/24 but shows no...

Bump/pop from right front during full lock very slow turn

Title pretty much describes it. This occurs when turning hard say to get out of the garage. Kinda like when you run over something and your tire feels like it slides a bit then pops on the pavement. I say pavement but with these big 305s on my new HP Dark Horse I wonder if maybe the tire could...

Went ahead and stepped up to a Dark Horse EDIT: First drive impressions

I have once again made a liar out of myself and did what I said I wouldn’t. I guess the name grew on me over time so here I am. I have needed to get back down to three so I did a two-for-one trade yesterday for this new Dark Horse. I haven’t been able to drive it yet due to cold temps and wet...

    Dark Horse HP ride height

Quick couple of questions about the DH with Handling Package: How much if any does the HP reduce ground clearance compared to the standard DH? Iā€˜m thinking about the ability to go straight over a 2.5ā€œ speed bump, very slowly. I have zero problem now with my non-HP Mach 1s. How much more...

So why does my S650 GT not handle as well as my S550 GT?

Let me first be clear: I really like my 2024 GT coupe a lot. A whole lot. And overall it’s a nice handling street car. But try hard as I may to ignore it, the fact is that when both are pushed a bit into a corner my 2020 GT convertible is just flat out a better handling car. The term ā€œbetter...

Does your GT seem to require less steering effort than S550s?

I’ve only got about 800 miles on my new non-PP GT A10, virtually 100% driven in track mode. I thought I had noticed this but after a 100 mile romp in my same configured 2020 GT yesterday, also in track mode, I’m sure of it. The steering is completely different on these two cars. A little hard to...

Want more than a GT but can’t reach a GTD? You may be SOL…

I was reading this thread https://www.mustang7g.com/forums/threads/got-denied-for-a-gtd-whats-the-next-regular-high-performance-mustang-coming-down-the-pike.162503/ and it got me to thinking. Most average folks, myself included, can neither reach $325K+ for a GTD nor wangle one if they could...

Would Bilsteins make a noticeable difference on my new GT?

I’m talking B6s, both struts and shocks. My ā€˜24 GT is a stock non-PP, non-Magneride car. It does have the 19x8.5 wheels with 255s all around. It rides great and handles nicely but could maybe be just a little flatter/tighter when pushed hard in a turn. Other than rebound damping just...

Any thoughts as to whether the ‘25s will be even more “connected” and “nannied up”than the ‘24s?

By ā€œconnectedā€ I loosely mean anything that causes the car to be more dependent on Mother Ford for itā€˜s systems to function properly. When I recently picked up my ā€˜24 the salesman was horrified that I refused Ford Pass. But I’m old and set in my ways and strongly prefer as little connection as...

So I got to drive a new 2024 EcoBoost coupe today…

…and I’m literally shocked! This was a brand new base car and I don’t think it had the first option on it. I immediately popped it into track mode and took off. The car had great power and IMO was very quick. I mean, it pulled very strong up to 85 or so before I hit heavy traffic and had to back...

Anybody else think their ‘24 AVE V-8 Mustang is louder than an S550?

It’s of course subjective but I’d bet that in track mode my new AVE ā€˜24 GT is a good bit louder than any of my AVE S550s in track mode, including even my ā€˜23 Mach 1. I mean, this ā€˜24 GT is loud af! I’m not complaining mind you, I love it. I run my cars in track mode 100% of the time to feed the...

    I said I wouldn’t do it but I did!

For all the standard BS reasons a lot of us S550 guys have been dissing the S650 I had convinced myself I’d be unlikely to ever buy one. This one proved me to be wrong the first minute I saw it online. Even my wife told me not to let it get away. The screens (which I had cussed) in this car...

Could somebody please straighten me out on the 486 hp thing?

It’s my understanding that when the Active Valve Exhaust is selected on the GT it jumps the hp rating from 480 up to 486. Is this correct or is it just conversation? Reason for asking is that in looking at window stickers on new GTs with the AVE option the hp still shows to be 480. And yeah I...
