I've read the same thing about placing the plate in the windshield. It will give you a better chance of being pulled over than not having a front plate at all. It's sort of makes it too obvious that you don't have a properly mounted front plate.
In my state at least they can give you a repair order where I'd have to take my car to a police station within 30 days to show a properly installed front license plate.
That's good to hear. Gives me hope. I left the front plate off my old Wrangler (honestly just forgot to stick it back on) and got pulled over for it. Officer was cool and said "everyone says that" when I told her I had it in the back cargo area and just forgot to put it back on. I guess a...
A few more weeks to go with no front plate and no police stops to make one full year on the road. I hope my luck continues. I keep mine in the trunk and I hope it never leaves.
Here is the law in my miserable state
Post manufacturer add-on window tint is prohibited on the windshield of any vehicle below the AS1 line or 5 inches from the top of the windshield, whichever is less.
On passenger cars, convertibles, and station wagons:

50-60 financed about half of it, cash/trade for the other half.
At 1.9% for three years it's like free money. No harm either way. I should have it paid off in about six months from now anyway.
I've been three times now in the offseason. I have no ability to wash on my own since our building's water is shut off in the winter. I went twice through the touchless car watch and once through the brush car wash (got in the wrong line by accident) and had no issues at all with water coming in.
I have mine set to quiet exhaust too. I basically use it when I'm pulling into our parking garage late and prefer not to wake up the entire building. I've never had any problems with it but I have to admit I rarely turn it OFF with the favorites button, only ON.
Too funny. I get the same look when pulling into a parking lot. I give her those same two choices. Walk with me from the back of the lot or I'll drop you at the door. 90% of the time she will do the walk. But she isn't thrilled about it LOL
